Description

Get away from the crowds and join Exclusive Escapes for a small-group snorkeling experience designed around comfort, safety, and open-water exploration. Board one of our vessels directly from Grand Turk’s beachfront and enjoy a relaxed tour with friends or family. The experience begins with snorkeling at a single designated reef site, selected by the captain based on real-time sea conditions to provide optimal visibility and safety. This reef stop features coral formations and marine life representative of Grand Turk’s surrounding waters. Following the snorkeling portion, the tour continues to Gibbs Cay—an uninhabited island known for its powdery white sand and shallow turquoise flats—where guests can enjoy time in the water alongside stingrays that naturally inhabit the area. Along the way, guests may observe the captain free diving for live conch. Upon arrival at Gibbs Cay, our team will conduct a live conch demonstration and prepare fresh conch salad to enjoy.

Best day!

This was the BEST experience. We have been on a lot of cruises and excursions in recent years and this one was one of my favorites. The snorkeling was great, the sting ray and Gibbs island were amazing and the ceviche was to die for!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this company

The owners of this business were so welcoming and friendly. The two tour guides/captains of the boat were so fun it felt like we were hanging with old friends. Enjoyed the snorkeling spot way off shore but the island was amazing! I swam with stingrays that literally hugged me and followed me around It was amazing!! The fresh conch salad made by the crew on the beach was to die for. Would do this again for sure!

Amazing day in Grand Turk

We had an amazing time with our tour guide Vasco. He was fun, entertaining and very knowledgeable. We went snorkeling and hung out with the stingrays in Gibbs Cay. Both were amazing experiences. His first mate made an amazing conch salad form Conch he pulled from the ocean during our excursion. He dropped us off at jack’s shack where we enjoyed lunch before heading back to the ship.

Fun filled day exploring under the sea.

This is a great experience. The crew make this a 10!!! Great interaction with the customers. Snorkel and see amazing schools of fish. Dive for conch. The captain and his crew cook the conch right on the beach for you while you have a chance to play in the crystal clear water and swim with sting rays. Don’t miss this trip of a lifetime!

Perfect day

Easy meeting up directions and an excellent tour. Great rum punch, conch explanation, snorkeling area, and I loved being on the beach all by ourselves sampling & swimming. My only complaint is the boat was packed—maybe not taking the walk up family so we have a bit more space on the boat.

Operator response

Choosing a locally owned family business directly supports the people and traditions that have kept Grand Turk connected to the sea for generations. Our small snorkel vessels operate within all licensing and passenger-capacity requirements, and we limit departures to no more than 30 guests. These vessels reflect generations of maritime knowledge and serve as the passage into the experience itself—the reef, the cays, the open sea, and the traditions that have shaped island life for generations. Every guest voice helps sustain small family businesses while allowing our community to continue sharing the culture and maritime heritage rooted in Grand Turk. ❤️

A great experience - would do again!

The team met us and greeted us by name - clearly they were eager and prepared. The main office had seen better days, but that's not what we signed up for, was it? They quickly got us out on the boat (we had to wait for other bookers to join). They took us out to the snorkel spot and there was another boat by the reef as well, but we were easily distinguished by different colored jackets. They dove for conch and then we chased fish around for almost an hour. The site was a good one with some beautiful fish and the ground was not so deep I couldn't dive down near to touching it. The water was crystal clear and we could see a good distance. Beautiful iridescent blues as well as other colors. The fish were fairly friendly and came up close enough to be seen but evaded capture. As they should. We then went to the beach where we experienced stingrays and got to hold them if we wanted - not tight or in a way that seemed it might be irritating or uncomfortable to them, though. They stayed in the water the whole time. Next, they harvested the conch and we got to have a sampling of ceviche. Delicious and fresh. All in all, it was a great trip!

A fabulous day on Grand Turk

This excursion was well worth the money. It was advertised at 2.5 hours but ended up being closer to 4 hours, which was just fine with us. The boat and office were easy to find (a short walk down the beach), and we learned about the history of Grand Turk while we waited for everyone to arrive. Our crew did a great job explaining what we would do and making sure everyone was safe and would have a good experience. Life vests and snorkel gear was provided (though we brought our own). We saw tons of beautiful fish while snorkeling the reef, got to swim (and kiss!) the stingrays, and enjoyed learning all about conch and how they are harvested. We both tried the conch ceviche and enjoyed it- a bit spicy! I loved having the time on Gibbs Cay to enjoy the sandy beach and the beautiful waters there. Don't hesitate to book this excursion- it might have been our favorite one on our cruise!

Enjoyable, small group...

Enjoyable, small group excursion. Easy to find from the pier. Very friendly crew. Nice boat ride out to the reef to snorkel, then to a small island to relax while feeding rays. I liked supporting a small, local business and was never concerned about not making it back to the ship on time. A+

Great way to spend a cruise port day in Grand Turk

Exclusive Escapes supreme snorkeling tour was the perfect way to spend a day at Grand Turk during a cruise (or during vacation). The walk to the meeting point was an easy 8-10 minute walk (with a toddler in tow) along the soft sand beach. The boat was comfortable. FYI there is not bathroom on board so use the bathroom before you leave the ship. The crew was great- very friendly and helpful. JJ was especially hilarious. The snorkeling was fine. The reef sadly looks like many other reefs which are starting to die, but we got to see tons of colorful fish. One of the guides even fed the fish right in front of my toddler so he could see lots of fish without using a snorkel. We had plenty of time for snorkeling. Another guide even showed my husband where to dive for conch, and my husband got to dive for one. It was fun learning all about conch and tasting their ceviche from the conch they caught while we were on board. The stop at Gibbs Cay was peaceful. Not at all tons of stingrays like I was imagining. It was very different from Stingray Cay on Grand Cayman. This was a beautiful sandy beach on a tiny island where a few rays naturally come so the experience feels more wild, with 2-3 stingrays swimming around you occasionally. Very peaceful stop. This tour was pricey, but I can’t imagine a better way to spend our time there. Plus I love supporting a local family company.
