Great trip to Mt Etna and Taormina
Great tour. Pick up was close to the hotel. The guide Francesco was informative and helpful. Loved the lava cubes, mountain walk, lunch in the organic vineyard and Taormina was beautiful.

Description
Join with us the Mt Etna & Taormina tour! This excursion gives you the opportunity to visit two of the most attractive places in Sicily in just one day! Following a hiking route up to 2000 meters, you will have the chance to admire forests, craters, lava formations, and scenic views of the mountain. You will visit a volcanic cave using the equipment provided from us (helmets and torches). After the trekking, you will stop at a nice Chalet, where you will enjoy a snack with sandwiches or, according to the weather conditions, you will do a lunch with typical Sicilian Street food. The lunch will be accompanied by water and local red Etna wine. Then we will move to the beautiful town of Taormina. Relax yourself having a walk along Corso Umberto, buying some souvenirs for your relatives and friends, discovering the magic of the Greek Theater, or simply taking pictures of the beautiful landscape. The tour is in Italian and English. Upon request also in Spanish and French.

Free time to visit the historical center of Taormina
You will have lunch in a wine cellar, where you can taste our local food and two types of Etna DOC wines (local production). Please note that during the winter period the availability of wineries may vary, so lunch may take place elsewhere and its arrangements may vary accordingly, not affecting the price.
You will explore a cave of volcanic origin (e.g. Grotta dei Ladroni or Grotta Cassone): we will provide you with the necessary equipment (helmets and torches). Please note, however, that depending on the weather conditions, it may not be possible to visit the caves due to snow or ice inside, which would make them inaccessible.

Best tour ever
On June 15, 2026, I participated in the following Etna tour from Hungary, and it turned out to be one of my best decisions. It was one of the best-organized tours I have ever attended. Our guide, Giovanni, presented the workings of Etna, the wildlife, and the unique features surrounding Etna in an extremely professional manner. He was very knowledgeable and extremely thorough; everything was perfectly organized, and I can only recommend both Giovanni and the company below to everyone. Luckily, we were provided with proper hiking boots, which made navigating the terrain easier and we didn't even have to worry about our own shoes. I loved the tour, the fantastic lunch we had, and the excursion to Taormina. I'm glad that despite my initial doubts, I decided to go for it. It turned out to be the best decision.

Great walk. Experienced guide. Lunch ok, with good wines. It's worth it. Be prepared to walk a lot.

Fun filled day
Very packed fun filled day. Make sure you have sunscreen, hat and water. Mr Etna is a little hike with rocky terrain. Francisco was fantastic. He was very informative and attentive. Our group was small which was perfect. Mr Etna and the cave was fantastic and Taormina was breathtaking!

One day trip with friends
It was a well organised full day trip lead by Giovanni. He was a really nice guide and told us all the needed information. We had a great time discovering Etna's crateres and visiting Taormina. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great Etna Taormina trip
If you have any mobility issues this is not for you. It was wonderful. Our guide Andrea was personable knowledgeable about history and geology. Great lunch and wine. Views from so many places stunning

An excellent experience. Francesco was an excellent guide, an expert in geology, flora and fauna... lunch on Mount Etna exceeded our expectations. The time available to explore Taormina was enough. I highly recommend this tour.
