Great.

I had a great day on this excursion to Essaouira from Marrakech. The journey takes about three hours, but it is pleasant thanks to the varied landscapes that we pass through. Along the way, we stopped at an argan oil cooperative, where we discover traditional manufacturing and where we can buy quality local products. On arrival in Essaouira, the contrast with Marrakech is striking: everything here is calm, fresh and peaceful. The white city, the ramparts, the alleys of the medina and the fishing port give a unique Mood. We really feel different. I particularly enjoyed strolling through the craft souks and admiring the works of cedar wood, typical of the region. Lunch by the sea is a highlight: fresh fish and seafood, served in a relaxed atmosphere, with the sea breeze and the sound of the waves. Essaouira is also known for its wind, so it’s best to provide a jacket, especially if you’re walking on the beach. The only small drawback is that the time on site is a little short to discover everything, as the round trip takes time. But it’s still a beautiful day trip, perfect for breathing the sea air and discovering another side of Morocco. I highly recommend this outing to all those who wish a quiet, cultural and authentic getaway away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.
