This place was offically declared a shrine of the Roman Catholic Church in 1986, and since then it has become a popular place of pilgrimage. Pope Paul VI visited shrine in 1967.

Ephesus is an important site for Christianity; being one of the seven Churches of Revelation. Apostle Paul probably spent two and half years in Ephesus during his third missionary journey.
Our tour includes Odeon, State Agora, Prytaneion, Memmius Monument, Domatian Temple, Hercules Gate, Curetes Street, Hadrian Temple, Latriens, Celsus Library, Marble Road, Commercial Agora, Great Theather, and Arcadine (Harbour Road).
Ephesus Terrace Houses

Ancient luxurious residential villas, built according to the Hippodamian plan where the roads transect each other at right angles. Houses feature drawings showing gladiators, caricatures, and animals and grafiti of names of persons, poems, and the declarations of love.
The visits to Private House (so-called brothel, 'Terrace Houses’) is an optional visit for an extra 25 ₺/person and your guide should be informed before hand.
The Temple of Artemis

After lunch; we will carry on with the visit to Temple of Artemis; which is one of the Seven Wonders of antiquity. Here, there will be good chance to shoot photos of Church of St. John and Mosque of Isa Bey from the best angle as well.

An old village on the hills of Selcuk famous for fruit flavored wine production and traditional houses. It was once inhabited by 'Rum' (Byzantine Greeks) who were exchanged with the Turkish from the Greek mainland after the peace treaty following the Turkish National War.

The only way to see Ephesus.
The tool was very well organized, and efficient. We got to see everything that we needed to see. Our tour guide, Uray, was very knowledgeable, fluent, accommodating, organized, and congenial. The lunch stop was fun, and the small village of Sirence was fascinating. Highly recommended.

So much to enjoy in one day!
Everything was excellent! Our guide, Hüray Iladız, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the history of Ephesus easy to understand and enjoyable. The tour was well organized, and our family of four had a wonderful day. Highly recommended!

Rushed highlights and too much time on carpet sales
Our guide, Hüray, was friendly, and the driver was very nice. However, I was disappointed with Hüray’s management of our time and the overall organisation of the tour.
We were left with only around 15 minutes in total for the Terrace Houses and the Library of Celsus. These were the highlights of Ephesus for me and deserved far more time. Being rushed through them was a real disappointment.
Yet we spent around half an hour at a carpet demonstration and sales pitch. It felt unfair that selling carpets was given twice as much time as visiting these extraordinary historical sites.
Although Hüray was pleasant, her handling of the visit let the experience down. The guide and operator should prioritise time at the main attractions and make shopping stops optional. Unfortunately, I can only give this tour two stars.

Great guide

Fantastic day and guide.
Fantastic day trip. Guide, Gul, was excellent, very informative. The lunch provided was lovely. The day was great value for money. Would recommend. Ephesus is a must see.

Highlight of our Izmir trip
Mehmet is an amazing tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and made everything very entertaining. I liked that this tour took care of purchasing the tickets on our behalf, so we didn’t have to waste time on people purchasing tickets individually. Lunch was tasty and worth it. We also had a chance to look at a carpet making workshop. There was no pressure to buy anything, which is always nice. Great tour overall.

Highlights of Ephesus and surrounding area.
Alper was a friendly and knowledgeable guide. We got to see everything as advertised. There was no time to see the Terrace at Ephesus (this is extra fee by the way). There is no planned breakfast stop so plan accordingly.
