Elafonissi Beach Trip from Chania

This was hands down one of the absolute best excursions I have ever been on! It was worth every single penny and truly made our time in Crete special. Our driver was excellent—professional, punctual, and made the entire journey smooth and stress-free. A huge shoutout to Simone was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to be helpful throughout the whole day. My only regret is that I didn't have enough time to book more trips with this company. If you are on the fence, just book it—you won't regret it!

It is a normal beach and the issue of the pink sand is something that at least that day was imperceptible

Great trip, beautiful Elafonissi beach. Amazing scenic drive on Tuesday (round trip). Our guide Silvana was amazing, very well organized with mamy pick ups on the way. She provided a lot of information about the island, history, customs. Very helpfull answered our questions. Our driver #1 driving a big bus though the mountains.

Excellent trip with careful and experienced driver and very knowledgeable tour guide keeping us informed of local history. Fabulous stop offs both ways. Pick up and drop off at very convenient spot and on time.

It was great and informative. Our guide, Thomas, was very kind, approachable and knowledgeable. As many people mentioned before, a few things are important to know or consider. Good shoes are a must, because, depending on which site you booked through, there might not be a full itinerary of the activities ahead of you. Aside from the Elafonissi beach, you will depart Chania at 08:00 and pick other tourists along the way as you go. That means a lot kf stops, especially if you're on the bus since stop 1. You could also be on a bus with people for another daily excursion, which will depart the bus at a small harbour town near the beginning of the trip and which you must pick on your way back. As mentioned before, there is a food/drinks and toilet break midway through, which is conveniently located next to a cave, which you will have roughly 30 minutes to visit. It is a 10 minute walk via a lot of stairs and the cave and view are amazing. Then you will reach the beach. Saying all of this, so you understand that it's fun and packed with things to do, but the trip there and back lasts around three hours in each direction with the trips and the whole programme. That means the pure time at the beach is around three and a half hours, which is more than enough, but don't imagine 12 hours there, because both trips there and back again have activities planned in them. So it's definitely worth your money and the guides make it truly fun and informative and you end up chewing sompe pretty amazing scenery and learning a lot about Crete, so it's no ever boring, but yeah - you must know, that there is more to it than just being dropped at a beach and picked up again at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend.

The experience was fantastic despite some bad weather, the beach was clear for most of the day and I got to enjoy the clear waters. I liked the pit stops for breakfast and lunch they added a special touch to the tour.

Amazing drive through the countryside, with some breathtaking views (coach driver George was very skilled). The weather wasn't great for our trip, but we still enjoyed a few hours at the beach. Be prepared for crowds! The bus had sun umbrellas we could borrow, which meant we could set up anywhere. Most of the swimming beach area is quite shallow, so perfect if you have kids. It's about a 10 minute walk from the carpark to the beach, then a thigh-deep wade across to the island (if you choose). Don't expect the sand to be particularly pink 😜. The drive itself was surprisingly enjoyable, accompanied by wonderfully informative commentary from our guide Simona. In Elios, go to the family run taverna for a traditional Cretan meal!

Our beach tour was absolutely amazing, the tour guides are extremely informative and the team will work with you to ensure you have the information you need to have an amazing trip. Elafonisi is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen and I’m glad I chose this tour! We learned a lot of history on the island of Crete as well and I got to go home with some fun facts about their delicious olive oil!

Great tour, we had a fantastic driver who drove very meticulously through the windy mountains. Jo our guide was also very knowledgeable and share some interesting information about Chania. She also had sun umbrellas which saved a bit of change. Elafonissi beach was lovely and the water was very shallow for a vast area so great for swimming and for children. Gets a bit windy but perfect way to cool down. Did not look very pink though however we was informed this was probably due to all the visitors that had come during the summer period and from people taking the shells. There are a few places and a supermarket when you arrive at the beach area for snacks, drinks and food. Great day out

Great experience! Picked up from hotel, communication was really clear and we spent a good amount of time at the cave, beach and restaurant. The beach was so pretty, and the tour guide even offered umbrellas to shield from the sun. Tour guide was informative and the driver navigated some windy roads excellently! Would really recommend!
