Great way to get your bearings in a crazy city. Live guides are scripted and tell the same stories, but fun and informative all the same.
Great to have live narrators as guides telling stories about what you are seeing and ability to answer guest’s questions.
Very interesting. It covers several historic points of the city. The tour guide is informative and fun.
On the Blue line we had a driver named David. He was excellent in service in every way. My sister was using a rollator(bid walker). He leapt to help her board every time. All of our drivers were friendly and accommodating. He went “the extra mile” We originally booked the green line with live travel info. This was great. We later added another day for 6 pounds and had access to all 3 color buses/routes. Very nice.
Open topped bus. It was a bit cold in August. The sound recording playback was a bit quiet and had to really listen hard. The hop on and hop off idea was great.
We took this bus tour as way of introduction to the wonderful vity of Edinburgh. The live guides make a lot of difference as compared to using an audio guide. It is advisable to go for a full loop and then stop and visit the various historical sites. All the guides were wonderful and the regale you wonderful stories of days gone by with ample of Scottich humour thrown in. John was our favourite. He was very experienced and witty. Compliments to all the guides and drivers who very helpful and gave us loads of information. Lovely experience
All the guides were good, but Nadia clearly enjoys her job & was incredibly engaging. Definitely a great way to see the city
We had Laith as our driver on the Edinburgh sightseeing tour this past weekend and I wanted to leave a review because he genuinely made the experience so much better! I've been on a fair few sightseeing bus tours over the years and, if I'm honest, a lot of them can be quite easy to tune out from. Laith was completely different; he was friendly from the moment we got on, really easy to listen to and just a natural at speaking to everyone on the bus. Personally I thought he struck a great balance between sharing interesting history and throwing in the odd “dad” joke, which kept things light and made the tour feel much more engaging. What impressed me most was his knowledge of Edinburgh. Even though he mentioned he isn't originally from the city, he knew so much about its history, landmarks and all the little facts that you don't tend to hear elsewhere. As someone who's from Scotland, I was genuinely surprised by how much I learned. I thought I knew Edinburgh fairly well, but there were loads of facts about places like the Grassmarket and Holyrood Palace that I'd never heard before. I also thought it was a really nice and fun touch that he embraced the Luke Combs weekend with his cowboy hat and boots. It fitted perfectly with the atmosphere around the city and put a smile on people's faces without taking anything away from the tour itself. He kept people interested, made everyone feel welcome and made the whole experience much more memorable than I expected it to be. I'd happily recommend both the tour and, specifically, Laith to any friends or family visiting Edinburgh. He's a real credit to the company and I hope this feedback gets passed on to him because he deserves the recognition.
The tour guides each knew a lot of interesting facts and told fun jokes or stories. We only rode twice but wish we had spent even more time on the bus!
Highly recommend for seeing the city and understanding where all of the key areas are in relation to one another. We purchased the three route tour and Tam was our guide on the green route. He was really informative and had lots of knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the tours and it was a lovely way to see the city.
