Ecotour Mangrove and Craft Fishing : Nature + Local Community

Our experience was amazing. Everybody we met in this excursion were so friendly. We loved the the mangroves and people leaving in that area that where so kind with us they offer coconuts juice and we see and play with nice animals! The lunch was in a very typical restaurant at the beginning. We were a little bit surprise because it is a very simple place,but the food was perfect!!

I did the Mangrove Ecotour and I loved it! The place we visited is super quiet and the nature is wonderful. My guide Andrés knew how to tell me everything about the birds and the trees. And the fisherman Javier taught me how to fish in the traditional way. I recommend the tour to everyone who wants to learn more about the fauna and flora of Cartagena.

This was an awesome tour! The guide made you feel like family and it made the tour even better. You really feel comfortable which allows you to have fun and take in the beautiful scenery. You also learn a LOT and for what you're paying you get more than enough knowledge and experiences. Highly recommend!

This experience was magical! Just 15 minutes by car from the city center of Cartagena, you immerse yourself in lush nature and discover traditional fishing methods, the major role of the mangrove in this ecosystem, and the culture of the inhabitants of this region. Our guide and the two fishermen were attentive and made this experience a real breath of fresh air. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a change of scenery and be amazed by this environment.

Visiting the mangroves with Yeimy was the highlight of my week in Cartagena. She helped me to feel like I was having a shared experience with friends, rather than a tour with strangers. I learned so much about the community of La Boquilla and the amazing natural ecosystem that feeds and protects them. Trying to use a net to fish gave me a whole new respect for the art. It’s not easy, but it is fun, and the fisherman who taught me had so much patience and ease. And finally, the meal we shared was literally the best I had the entire week. I highly recommend this experience for anyone wanting to experience Cartagena away from the hustle and business of the walled city. They arranged pick up and drop off directly from my hotel, so I didn’t have to figure anything out. And everyone I encountered, from the driver to the community members were welcoming and happy to share. It was a beautiful day, 10/10 experience.

Andre was a great guide and went above and beyond. The dude on the island (forgot his name) was also a vibe. The experience was also great and very cool.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Family-Friendly Mangrove Tour We joined this mangrove tour with our two children and had a fantastic day. The only minor downside was that the tour started a little later than scheduled. However, once it got going, it was well worth the wait. The biggest highlight for our kids was being able to fish in the mangroves themselves rather than just watching. We used nets to catch fish and crabs and even set crab traps. It felt like a real adventure and was one of the most memorable parts of our trip. Another wonderful experience was visiting a small island inhabited by local fishing families. There we met turtles, raccoons, dogs, and cats, which our children absolutely loved. We also enjoyed a short dance lesson and a drumming workshop, giving us a fun insight into the local culture. The combination of nature, hands-on activities, wildlife, and cultural experiences made this tour truly special. It was engaging for both adults and children and offered much more than we expected. We highly recommend this tour to families visiting Cartagena and looking for an authentic and interactive experience. Thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable day!

I had an absolutely incredible tour with Yeimy at the mangrove forest and fisherman’s village. Pick-up was easy, the tour was stunnng through the mangroves in a canoe, learning about the fauna and animals, saw plenty of birds, mussels and fish. I tried the local fishing techniques and dropped crab boxes to see if we could catch any. The whole tour was perfect, Yeimy was so friendly, knowledgeable and chatty, she completely made the trip unforgettable and I 100% recommend her and this tour to anyone!
