Great birding and photography
We had a great morning walking and birding with our excellent guide (Joanna) saw and photographed several endemics and other birds and really enjoyed the walk through the reserve - highly recommended, and you will be supporting a reserve doing a great job at conservation despite a lack of government support.

Magical experience at Ebony Forest
Fascinating experience!!! Damián the guide conveys enthusiasm for nature and especially for birds and botany!!! We started by spotting a Mauritius kestrel, a true ornithological rarity, after leaving a magical explanation in the local museum and being taken back to the time of the dodo and when it was normal for the island to be full of ebony, we saw tortoises, he spotted the elusive Mauritius fody and the less difficult Madagascar fody, we were amazed when he patiently looked for the white-eye for us, the route was beautiful, full of viewpoints of Le Morne and its magnificent lagoon or as Damián said, pleasant surprises. He made an effort to find geckos for us and when we arrived at the Sublime Point viewpoint he delighted us with a succulent appetizer accompanied by a drink. He gave us more time on the excursion and the magical moment with the flycatchers, we had them almost in our hands just like the white-eyes!!! And to finish, more Aldabra tortoises and a pink pigeon!!! Very dynamic and physically demanding tour. The tour is highly recommended because it maintains a balance between the physical, nature, and wildlife, it was fascinating!!! We want to thank Damián for his sensitivity toward people and wildlife!!!

Epic hike but so worth it
Went on the birdwatching tour with Lucy. Such a lovely lady who put up with us being very slow. It was a tough hike for us but we took it slow and steady. The view at Sublime point was fantastic and the refreshments were very welcome.
The flycatcher raised walkway was great for flycatchers plus had very interesting signs about the plants, insects and birds. Also enjoyed hearing about the restoration work that is being done in the forest. Best of all we had great sightings of the Pink Pigeon, Olive White-eye, Mauritius paradise flycatcher and Mauritius bulbul.

Great Birdwatching Tour
We had an amazing birdwatching experience! There were 10 of us in the group, and we managed to spot 6 of the 7 endemic bird species that can be seen in Mauritius.
The hike to the birdwatching spots was beautiful as well. Along the way, we had some fantastic views of Mount Le Morne, the ocean, the lagoons, and the surrounding landscape and mountains.
Our guide, Damian, was absolutely great. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he told us a lot about the history, plants, and of course the birds. He was happy to answer all our questions and did a fantastic job spotting and showing us the birds.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience and definitely something we would recommend. Thank you, Damian, for making the experience so enjoyable!

Beautiful bird watching and animal trip with a great guide
We took the tour in the early morning (9.30) and had a guide called Loic. The park was quiet and Loic was brilliant in identifying birds, trees, and other animals and telling us the story of the ebony forest and the endemic species they are trying to preserve. He was so good in pointing out rare birds that we were lucky to see. 10/10 experience, and a big thank you to Loic

Interesting visit
Interesting guided tour with Damien who is very good and nice.
Route with explanations on the local flora and fauna (especially on the extinct one and its reasons).
In short, if you are here, it is an interesting, alternative experience, and you leave with more awareness of what human beings have done (in a positive way, but especially in a negative one).

Perfect
We have only one word: perfect!!
The place is perfect; you can see that the preservation of wildlife and flora is important, and everything is being done to preserve it.
The visit was even more magical thanks to our amazing guide Damien. Damien is passionate about birds, and our son was thrilled to find someone so passionate, as were we. We were able to see birds of all kinds, the lush flora, and the cherry on top: a breathtaking view!
Thank you to Damien and all the teams for their wonderful work. We will return without hesitation

A beautiful project that everyone should support, a must-see in Mauritius.
A private tour organized by two passionate and lovely eco-rangers who introduced us to the endemic flora and fauna of the island, far from the clichés we may have as tourists. A very beautiful conservation project that deserves support. A wonderful place to discover.
