Earth Market & Family Table Experience from Istanbul

The Earth Markets are an initiative of the Slow Food movement, aimed at creating a global network of farmers' markets where local producers sell high-quality, sustainably grown food directly to consumers. These markets promote the principles of "good, clean, and fair" food—meaning that it is environmentally sustainable, ethically produced, and accessible to everyone. They also focus on fostering relationships between producers and consumers, supporting biodiversity, and preserving traditional and local food cultures. We will visit the Şile Earth Market with local women from the Women Seed Association, who come from the same village as the market.

Rakı, a traditional Turkish spirit, is crafted from seasonal fruits, making each visit unique as you discover which flavors are used during your stay. You'll learn about the brewing process and savor this special homemade Rakı right in the comfort of their home. Additionally, you’ll explore the art of winemaking and enjoy a tasting with insights from the winemaker.
