Scam.

Nonexistent experience. 25 euros per person for nothing, we didn't even have time to realize we had the wrong museum and they didn't even give us a refund! A real scam with grumpy, arrogant and rude staff. Absolutely terrible experience done only to deceive tourists! In fact located a few steps from the real museum of illusions.

The experience at the...

The experience at the place is good and entertaining, but it is enjoyed much more when accompanied by someone; when booking with you, for some reason at reception they could not load my data, I hope this does not happen again in any other activity I book with you.

Waste of time and money

Absolutely not worth the entry fee. Illusion puzzles you see in the Sunday papers, 'immersion rooms' that are just rooms with mirrors on all surfaces and cheap twinkling lights, many exhibits shabby and in need of sprucing up, nothing particularly interesting, interactive photo exhibits difficult to use. Don't waste your time and money.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you found the experience disappointing, particularly regarding the condition of some exhibits and the interactive photo installations. We appreciate you highlighting these issues and will share your comments with our team as we continue to improve the experience.

Avoid

We got heavily discounted tickets and still felt ripped off. A total tourist trap. Staff rude or on their phones. Several displays not working, see photos. Most of the displays could be seen on Google images/YouTube. 4 of us,2 small kids, were out in 40 minutes. Parts of the rooms were dirty and run down, no flooring. No toilet paper in toilet. Avoid like the plague.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We're very sorry to hear that your visit was disappointing. These are not the standards we aim to provide, and we take your comments seriously. Please contact us at info@worldofillusion.ie so we can look into your visit further.

Don’t recommend

Not worth your money !!!!!! I would pay around €5 for this but no more. We were expecting a lot more for the price. There were no cool rooms, just lots of look at this image for 30seconds… it’s the sort of stuff you see on social media and such a scam! I wouldn’t recomend at all. We have been to others with mirror mazes etc so this was a complete disappointment. Also lots of things were broken and waiting to be fixed.

Overpriced

Hugely overpriced. A number of things didn’t seem to worth The basement was the only area work paying for. Also the queue for entry was bonkers as we had to wait while the people on the till organised photos for customers.

We also apologise for the delay you experienced at the entrance. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and would welcome the opportunity to learn more about your visit. Fantastic

An excellent venue & a must see/do when in Dublin. I booked here for myself & my 2 children (ages 10/13) - I had a free carer ticket for myself as my teen is disabled. The venue is completely wheelchair accessible, with ramps around & lifts leading to all 3 floors. There is also a spacious disabled toilet available. Staff are around to help you capture amazing photos if needed. Plenty of green screen photo opportunities available & there is also sort of gift shop on the way out.

Operator response

Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your visit to World of Illusion. We hope you had plenty of fun exploring our interactive exhibits and capturing some unforgettable photos. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

Waste of money

I think there is a better illusion museum in Dublin, this definitely isn’t it. €25 per ticket and it wasn’t worth it at all. Quite basic and limited photo opportunities. You’d get the same satisfaction from watching YouTube video and save yourself some money. Feels like a tourist scam and annoyed at ourselves for giving them our money!
