Dublin is a city where every era has left its mark. Medieval streets, Georgian architecture, literary landmarks, neighbourhood pubs, and centuries of history sit alongside a thriving contemporary culture, creating a city that is both deeply rooted in tradition and constantly evolving. Exploring with a knowledgeable local host offers a richer understanding of the people, places, and stories that continue to shape Ireland's capital. Before your experience, you'll complete a short online Personalization Form so we can match you with a like-minded host. Together, you'll create a flexible itinerary tailored to your interests, whether you're drawn to Irish history, literature, architecture, traditional pubs, local food, contemporary culture, or lesser-known corners of the city.
Dublin has long been a city of storytellers. Viking settlers, Georgian architects, political reformers, celebrated writers, musicians, and generations of Dubliners have all left their mark on the streets you'll explore. Before your experience begins, you'll complete an online Personalization Form, allowing your host to shape your route around your interests, whether you're drawn to Irish history, literature, architecture, neighbourhood pubs, contemporary culture, or quieter corners that many visitors miss. For more than 800 years, Dublin Castle has stood at the centre of Ireland's political history. Stroll through the surrounding courtyards and gardens as your host shares the stories, people, and events that helped shape modern Ireland. Guests wishing to explore the State Apartments or other interior spaces are welcome to do so with separate admission, where time allows.
One of Dublin's best-known streets, Grafton Street combines elegant Georgian architecture with independent boutiques, cafés, and talented street performers. It's an ideal place to experience the city's everyday rhythm while discovering local favourites beyond the main thoroughfare.
Standing on a site associated with Ireland's patron saint for more than 800 years, St. Patrick's Cathedral remains one of the country's most significant historic landmarks. From the surrounding gardens, your host will share stories of Jonathan Swift, medieval Dublin, and the cathedral's enduring place in Irish history. Guests wishing to explore the cathedral interior are welcome to do so with separate admission.
Originally built to transport goods across Ireland, the Grand Canal now offers one of Dublin's most peaceful walks. Follow its tree-lined banks while discovering how the surrounding neighbourhoods have evolved, where elegant Georgian terraces meet contemporary architecture and thriving local cafés.

Just walking outside of sites, no actual touring inside any of the sites listed. Not very organized. Nice walk, but not really worth the money.
Hello Ben, We're sorry to hear the experience didn't fully meet your expectations. Our experiences are designed as personalized walking experiences with a local host, and regrettably, entry tickets to attractions are not included. We appreciate you highlighting the areas where we can improve, particularly around organization and communicating what is included in the experience more clearly. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and we'll use it to help provide a better experience for future guests. Warm regards, Sheenah and the City Unscripted team.
