Itinerary
National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology
Pass by
Welcome to one of the greatest adventures in Dublin! Your journey starts at The National Museum of Ireland, the Archaeology branch. From the Stone Age to the Late Middle Ages, you can find here amazing treasures of gold, viking exhibits and the frightening history of the Bog Men.
If you did not hear about him, then let Questo give you a piece of advice: stay away from the swamplands! Check your surroundings to find the answer to the question, and who knows, you may find the way to defeat this ancient creature!
Theobald Wolfe Tone Statue
Pass by
Now you are headed to the Theobald Wolfe Tone statue, which is more than a bronze structure losing its shine over the decades: it has a story that brings the statue alive and impresses each visitor from Dublin.
We are talking here about the founding father of Irish republicanism. By 1791, Tone and others formed the Society of United Irishmen, a revolutionary movement aimed to overthrow the British rule in Ireland and pave the way to independence. But his actions were put to an end when he was captured by the British forces and later on, he died in mysterious circumstances. You are now here summoned by his spirit to discover the case of his death, so don’t waste your time and rise to the challenge!
St. Ann's Church
Pass by
We continue our journey to St. Ann's Church - a spectacular place of reflection and piety, located right in the heart of the city. This is the place where many famous people were baptized or got married, such as Oscar Wilde or Bram Stoker, the author of Dracula.
But everything has a silver lining, and churches make no exception. Immerse further into your quest to see which dark story St.Ann’s Church will disclose.
3Olympia Theatre
Pass by
After saying our prayers, it is high time we lightened up a bit in the Olympia Theatre! Moving in the crowd, feeling the thrill and the rhythm of the music, you look up and find yourself at one of David Bowie’s concerts. Or is it an iconic representation of Charlie Chaplin? These are the kind of fantasies Olympia Theatre awakens in travellers.
Look around you to find the missing clue, unlock this venue’s mystery and advance to the next checkpoint!
City Hall
Pass by
Welcome to the City Hall! Located on Parliament Street on the city's southern side, it is a marvelous example of the Georgian architecture for which Dublin is world-renowned. This place vaults the history of the city, from the arrival of vikings to the present day, in the form of an interactive multimedia exhibition. And what else to be expected from the most viking city in the world?
Check the place because we are sure the vikings left a hidden message somewhere!
River Liffey
Pass by
Now that you reached the final destination, get acquainted with the majestic river Liffey that runs through the heart of Dublin, separating the North and the South parts of the city! Whether you like to cruise down the Liffey or walk along its banks, you will certainly come across some impressive buildings and sceneries.
Rest assured, the challenge doesn’t lie on the bottom of the river, it may be right next to you! Find the last piece of the puzzle, so you can become a Dubliner and a real Questo explorer!

Good walking tour for the mystery lovers.
The ONLY reason this is not getting 5 stars is because the app needed to complete this tour is a little buggy.
Aside from that this is a great self guided walking tour of Dublin with a focus on the spooky stories that make Dublin such a wonderful and mystery filled city.
This does involve a lot of walking, but you can pace yourself.
The puzzles are relatively simple and somewhat straight forward meaning tue answers are really all easy to find, but not overly simplified.
Operator response
Thank you so much for the fantastic review! I am thrilled that you enjoyed diving into the spooky stories and mysteries that make Dublin such a wonderful city.
I really appreciate you highlighting a few key parts of your adventure:
The Puzzles: Finding that perfect balance where clues are straightforward but not overly simple is exactly what our local creators aim for. I am so glad they hit the mark for you!
The Pace: You hit the nail on the head. Since the tour is entirely self guided, you have the freedom to take your time, enjoy the walk, and take breaks whenever you need them.
The App: I am really sorry to hear that the app felt a little buggy and kept your experience from being a perfect 5 stars. Our tech team is constantly releasing updates to make the gameplay as smooth as possible, and your feedback helps us know where we need to focus our efforts.
We would absolutely love to host you for another mystery filled walk the next time you travel!

Walking with the ghosts of Dublin
Interesting experience with ghost stories to discover less touristy and beaten places in Dublin. Recommended for a pleasant walk.

FUN ADVENTURE
My boyfriend had planned this as a date for us, and I enjoyed it so much. I have been in this country for the last three years and I didn't know how many haunted places and hotels we had in the city. It's such a fun way to know details like these.
Operator response
Thanks so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear it made for a fun date and helped you discover a whole new side of Dublin. Hope you two go on more adventures together soon!

Fun, quick and interesting!
Really enjoyed the interactive element and the audio narration. Do be aware that if you play later in the day, some places can have their gates locked, so clues are difficult/near impossible to see.
Clear instructions on directions too, able to follow well.
Operator response
Glad you had fun with the interactive elements and narration! Good tip about playing earlier in the day—some spots can be tricky after hours. Hope you’ll join us for another adventure!

Great concept, poor execution
The concept and the information on the haunted locations were great, but there are many bothersome things that need improvement. Firstly, it said you don't need wifi after downloading the tour, but after we went to the startpoint only the ones, that had a sufficient internet connection could play. Furthermore, quite often we had the right solution but the app didn't accept it unless it was in all uppercase/lowercase or with an additional space ect.
Operator response
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the concept and information about the haunted locations. We’re sorry to hear about the issues with internet connectivity and the app’s acceptance of answers. We’ll address these concerns with our team to improve the experience and ensure smoother functionality. If you have any more details or need further assistance, please reach out to us at care@questoapp.com. We appreciate your input and hope to enhance your experience in the future.

Great time-filler
We were looking for something to fill our time and this was a great fit. A walking tour that gave us a little bit of history was cool. There were four of us and we paid for each of us, which I wouldn't do again since we were only using two phones. However, something happened with my sister's app requiring her to restart it and it didn't fully save her progress, so because it's location-based, she would've had to go back to a certain spot to be able to proceed (which was my only complaint). We just used my phone for the remainder of the game since we were near the end. Still cheap entertainment!
Operator response
It's fantastic that the experience was a good fit to spend your time and offered a bit of history! It sounds like you had an enjoyable experience, although there were a couple of hiccups with multiple phones and a glitch that affected your sister's progress. Despite these issues, it's great to hear that overall, it provided affordable and entertaining fun! Please reach out to us anytime you encounter an issue, we're here for you!
