Downtown Plano Walking Tour with Food and Drink

We had a wonderful time, highly highly recommend. Shelly, the owner, was our tour guide - she was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area (ours was the Downtown Plano Tour) and the food selection was excellent - got a wide range of options from the downtown area, and a lot of neat history about downtown and Plano in general. Excellent food, excellent drinks, excellent company - can’t recommend highly enough!! I hope we’ll be back in the area again soon so we can do their Star District tour as well!

Our guide took us to 3 restaurants where we tried their food (the food was fantastic) and a cocktail/glass of wine. She told us a little history of Plano and took us to an art gallery and several stores to shop at. As a local, they were places I had never been to. I would highly recommend this for a group because there was plenty of opportunity to visit.

We had a grant time and would go again in a heartbeat. It was our first food walk and, even though we have been to Plano several times in the past, all three restaurants featured had not been tried by us before. One in particular we hadn’t even noticed, which ended up being our favorite experience and we’re sure will be one of our staples in the future. Amy, the host was great: she was excited to have us and taught us so much about downtown and its history. I got this experience as a birthday surprise and would recommend it to anyone interested in food and local history.

I had such a wonderful time on the food tour of Plano. It was a perfect combination of food, shopping, history, and laughter with friends. I enjoyed the shopping between food tasting as this gave me time to digest my food. Speaking of the food, it was AMAZING. The history of Plano was fascinating and the architecture was beautiful. The shops were fun to go into. If you are looking for something different and fun, this is for you!

This was such a fun time and I highly recommend taking this tour! The restaurants were top notch and all of the food and drinks were delicious. We also got to shop in some fun stores. Amy and Shelly did a wonderful job guiding us through the town and telling the interesting history. They were a ton of fun and we felt like friends at the end. We would 100% do this again and it was the highlight of our trip to Dallas!

Shelly and Amy were incredibly gracious and welcoming hosts to our work team visiting Downtown Plano. Shelly was wonderful to work with in advance, helping to walk us through the various services they offer, and accommodate individual restrictions to ensure that everyone could participate. The format was perfect and we trusted Shelly and Amy to have it all under control so we could relax and enjoy the great food and educational tour. The only complaint I heard from the team is that the food was too tasty to stop when we were full (and believe me, we were all full before the last stop).

When I signed up for this tour I had no idea what to expect. It was educational, as well as we had yummy food and drinks. Amy and Shelly were awesome tour guides as well as hilarious. I called them the dynamic duo! I will definitely do this again in the near future, I will check out their Frisco tour as well.

Stumbled upon this amazing day with Lone Star food Tours. Amy our guide did an excellent job bringing us to local Eats and sharing fun historical facts. It also included a stop at the Nat’l soccer hall of fame! What a great way to sample and explore Frisco.

So much fun in Frisco Square with Lone Star Food Tour!! Good people, good food, good “momma juice,” and I got a little exercise during the process. Each restaurant was better than the next! The zucchini and chorizo dish and margaritas at Chitos were out of this world! The interactive virtual experience at the National Soccer Hall of Fame was the icing on the cake! I was blown away at all of the engaging experiences offered…and I was able to go back and explore more after the food tour concluded! Ending at Pizzeria Testa with traditional Napoli style margarita pizza looking out over Frisco Square was divine…almost as divine as the thirst quenching sangria! Highly recommend this tour!
