Discover the Douro Valley in a complete one-day experience, in a small group, with a maximum of 8 participants per vehicle. Travel from Porto with a local Guide and discover the landscapes, wines, and traditions of this UNESCO World Heritage region. Visit two selected boutique wineries, managed by small family producers, for an authentic experience of the Douro wine tradition. Discover small-scale productions and taste DOC wines, Port wines, olive oil, and honey, getting to know the people and stories behind the products. Enjoy a regional lunch with Douro wines and complete the day with a panoramic cruise of approximately 1 hour on the Douro River, from Pinhão, with stops at selected viewpoints. With only 8 participants per vehicle and visits to small family producers, this experience favors a personal and relaxed environment, with more time to interact with the Guide and discover the true identity of the Douro Valley.

The experience begins at our meeting point in Porto, next to the main entrance of Trindade Metro Station. Find your guide and small group before the departure to the Douro Valley.
Departure from Porto towards the Douro Valley, on a panoramic trip to the region. Upon arrival, enjoy the first wine experience of the day at a carefully selected local producer, with a tasting of Port wine, olive oil, and local products. The indicated time includes travel from Porto.
Visit a family quinta in the heart of the Douro Valley and discover the region's winemaking tradition up close. Enjoy a regional lunch accompanied by DOC Douro wines and end the experience with a Port wine tasting, in an authentic and relaxed atmosphere.
Board at Pinhão pier for a panoramic cruise of approximately one hour on the Douro River. Relax and admire some of the valley's most emblematic landscapes, with its terraced vineyards and historic estates viewed from the river.
After a full day in the Douro Valley, I return to Porto in a comfortable vehicle with air conditioning. During the trip, enjoy one last time the landscapes of the region before arriving at the Port, where the experience ends.

Wonderful experience with one negative note
The excursion is highly recommended. Mafalda, the guide, looked after us during the entire trip and explained many interesting facts regarding the surroundings and the wine. The boat tour is very beautiful, the setting is wonderful and not crowded at all, and the tastings and the food were very good. I am not giving a 5 in the final rating because there was a moment when I felt ripped off. At the Quinta Dos Castelares wine tasting, they charged us 24 euros for a wine that costs 14.99 euros both on their website and in any wine shop in Porto, as we were able to verify upon our return. Perhaps it is not the fault of the trip organizers, but I think those things should be controlled, since it left us with a bitter memory of what was an overall very positive experience.

Guided tour and tasting of high quality in the Douro Valley
Magnificent day in the Douro Valley with the guide Emmanuel. The welcome at the vineyard for the tasting of wines, port (Dalva), honey, and olive oil was very warm, and the products to taste were of high quality. The lunch at Quinta da Laveira dazzled us all both in quantity and quality of the food and wine. There too, the welcome and the tasting products, notably a Vintage port, were exceptional.

The day was...
The day was extraordinary! The cruise, the vineyards, the meal were great and above all the people were really attentive and generous! Our children liked it a lot too! There was a real concern to accommodate a person in our group who is allergic to nuts. We recommend it 100%.

top notch druro tour
There are so many similar tours to choose from , I opted for this one as it seemed a smaller outfit. It proved to be good choice. The wine yards visited were a smaller family run outfit. Both very friendly. They did not skimp on the wine and port ! The quality was also very good. The food was also good. Our guide Emanuel was good humoured and knowledgeable and realy improved the experience. The boat ride was as expected and very relaxing . I would definetly recommend this tour I don't think anyone would be disappointed.

A great Douro experience
An excellent day trip to experience the Douro Valley; beautiful scenery, relaxing boat trip, exceptional wine tasting with education, and a big lunch with matching wines.
