Carrapatelo Dam is a concrete gravity dam on the Douro, where the river forms the border line between the districts of Porto and Viseu. It is located in the municipalities of Marco de Canaveses, in Porto District, and Cinfães, Viseu District, Portugal. Construction of the dam began in 1964. The dam was completed in 1972.

Really enjoyable trip up to Pinhao with great food and drink on board and friendly, helpful staff. A variety of stunning views and interesting facts along the cruise. The port wine tasting was good but a little rushed due to the restricted time - you still arrive back in Porto at around 21:30. All in all, a great day out and very good value.
Nice ship, nice crew. The winery was very interesting. Delicious food on board. It was very busy at the locks, therefore no shore leave in Regua and a delayed return to Porto
This is a one-day boat trip on the Douro. The final destination is a winery in Pinhao. Breakfast is OK (sandwich, croisantje, coffee), lunch was a very generous hot meal with soup, main course and dessert. The explanation on board is not much, but the scenery is beautiful. The tour of the winery (with snack, drinks and a glass of port) was short but the view magnificent. Return by bus to Porto. Very nice trip and the value for money was excellent.
This trip is all day on the boat and you do not stop at wineries for over 8 hours. Had no idea it would be so long on boarding nothing.

Slimmy made this experience for me and my girlfriend. Told funny stories, remembered all of our names, asked for all of our favorite songs and played them in the bus, stopped at a pastry shop to get someone a special piece of cake for their birthday, and even sang to us. So awesome. Julio drove the bus and was also awesome. Such a big bus on a tiny road. Great experience
