We did a private tour and chose a small, family-owned winery, and it was such a great choice. Cecilia, the owner, was so warm and welcoming and shared a lovely selection of their wine, olive oil, and local products with us. The Douro Valley is beautiful and peaceful. Tiago was superb, knowledgeable and informative, but never overwhelming. He spoke just enough to make the experience interesting and enjoyable.

He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable throughout the day. He drove an excellent vehicle, shared fascinating insights about the Douro Valley and all of Portugal, and was especially kind when my son became a little carsick, which was completely unrelated to his driving. His patience and thoughtfulness meant a great deal to us. The highlight of the day was our visit to Casa do Poço and the vineyard of Cecília and Fernando. It was truly one of the most memorable experiences our family had in Portugal. The hospitality was extraordinary, the setting was breathtaking, and every course of the incredible homemade meal was thoughtfully paired with a different wine. Nothing felt rushed or staged. It was authentic, personal, and unforgettable. The entire day unfolded at a natural, relaxed pace that allowed us to truly experience the beauty of the Douro Valley rather than simply checking off sightseeing stops. We left feeling like we had experienced the region through the eyes of the people who call it home. This is a day our family will remember for the rest of our lives. Our family of four (including two young children) just finished an unforgettable trip through Portugal, and it exceeded every expectation. We started in Lisbon, where we stayed at The Lumiares Hotel. It was the perfect location to explore the city on foot, with charming streets, amazing restaurants, and beautiful viewpoints all around us. We spent time discovering Lisbon’s history and culture before taking a private day trip to Sintra and Cascais. Sintra truly felt like stepping into a fairytale, while Cascais was the perfect seaside escape with beautiful beaches and a relaxed atmosphere. On our way north, we stopped in Fátima, which was one of the most meaningful parts of our journey. It was peaceful, inspiring, and a place our whole family will always remember. Next, we stayed at The Yeatman in Porto, which offered breathtaking views of the city and the Douro River. Porto quickly became one of our favorite cities—walkable, welcoming, full of incredible food, and rich in history. We enjoyed exploring the Ribeira district, watching the World Cup with the locals, and experiencing the city’s unique charm. From Porto we traveled to the Douro Valley and stayed at Quinta da Pacheca. The scenery was simply spectacular. The vineyards, river views, wine experience, and peaceful surroundings made it one of the highlights of our trip. It was the perfect place to slow down and appreciate the beauty of Portugal. Throughout the trip, every transfer, hotel, and tour was seamless. The private guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and wonderful with our children, making the experience enjoyable for both adults and kids. We never felt rushed and were able to truly enjoy each destination. Portugal amazed us with its hospitality, outstanding food, beautiful landscapes, rich history, and warm people. It was the perfect balance of culture, relaxation, family fun, and unforgettable experiences. Tiago was the most informative tour guide we have ever had. He was born and raised in Porto and knew so much about the wine country. Our first stop was a small family owned winery Casa do Poco. Cecelia- the owner and the host showed us all around the winery, the grapes, let us pick cherries, showed us how they stomped on the grapes, stored the grapes and let us sample many different wines. Her home and winery is absolutely stunning. Then took a private boat trip down the Douro River. We got to see all the vineyards that surrounded the water for miles and miles to see. Beautiful. Our lunch was at a small local restaurant with delicious food. Tiago took extra time to show us scenic stops, stop by a winery that specialized in white port, and shared his wealth of knowledge throughout the whole tour. My kids and I felt this was the best tour we had ever been on and not recommended enough.

I wanted a private day tour in a clean, comfortable car, with a kind, knowledgeable, personable, professional guide and an easy itinerary that took us to some key spots in the Douro Valley…and our day trip with Dailia was exactly that and more. After picking us up at our AirBnb promptly at 9am, greeting my mom and I like new friends in a white Tesla, we set out for a gentle adventure through the Douro region, stopping first at a small family-run vineyard where we were given an informative and casual tour through their vines and processes, tarting their beautiful wines along the way, followed by a gorgeous homemade lunch al fresco with fun conversation and relaxing energy. Dailia was a pro at providing a variety of knowledge and information all along the way without overwhelming the ears or mind with unnecessary chatter, creating the ideal flow of conversation throughout our day as a soundtrack to the rich beauty of the landscape of the Douro region. We were able to watch the river cruise ship pass through one of the beautiful locks as though a travel angel was perfectly timing each bit of our journey. After a serene rabelo boat trip down the river, a nice little break from the road, we proceeded to our final stop, an old family-run vineyard in a tiny village where we tasted more gorgeous wines and ports, olive oil and honeys accompanying a fun, informative and interesting talk by the owner. A relaxing, reflective drive back to our AirBnb, a genuine hug goodbye to Dailia and we were all smiles the rest of the night after a perfect day spent exactly as I’d wanted. Worth every cent.

Amazing experience with Dalia to see the Douro Valley for our 24th wedding anniversary. With a PHD in Tourism, Dalia provided the context we needed to get the full experience and could communicate with the Quinta guides to easily translate anything to us in English the guide wasn't able to. Her knowledge of the history of Portugal was very interesting and she even served us lunch! She went above and beyond by showing us the coast on the way back to our hotel. We loved the private experience at the 2 Quintas we visited - the wines were amazing and the small solar hour boat ride was delightful. An overall lovely day!

The day was incredible. There was a hiccup with the car arriving on time. Despite starting 45 minutes later than scheduled, the day was amazing. Ana was a great tour guide and cautious driver. We came with our 3 year old daughter and she entertained her while we tasted the wine and toured the vineyards. Highly recommend this company, the service, and Ana!

Our visit to Casa do Poso family-owned Douro vineyard was a highlight of our trip— very personal and much more educational than any large winery and great wines! The Douro valley was gorgeous with the olive trees and vineyards becoming green on the hillside. Miguel’s extra information and stopping viewpoints added to a perfect day!
