Avoid GetYourGuide
Avoid using GetYourGuide . The boat turns around before sunset… Result: you do not see the best moment. Other providers do much better.

One of our favourite memories of Porto
We absolutely loved this two-hour sailing tour and would recommend it without hesitation. Everything was easy from the start. Communication beforehand was clear, the meeting point at the Gaia marina was well explained, and the crew was right on time, welcoming and in a great mood. There were only seven guests on board, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. The tour was a perfect balance between discovering Porto and simply enjoying being on the water. As we sailed along the historic centre, the crew shared information about the city and were happy to answer questions. At the same time, it never felt like a non-stop guided tour — there was plenty of quiet time to sit at the front of the sailboat, listen to music and enjoy the incredible views. After sailing through historic Porto, we continued toward the mouth of the Douro and out onto the Atlantic, which made the experience even more special. The wine tasting was also lovely, with three wines and Port accompanied by snacks. We were travelling with our son, and they had non-alcoholic alternatives for children as well. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Porto, and one of our favourite memories. We would do it again in a heartbeat!

River Douro Cruise
Lovely experience! I went with my Mum and friends and had an all round great experience. As a teenager I found the tour interesting and enjoyable and would definitely recommend for younger people. The host Hugo ensured the boat trip was a top highlight for our holiday in Porto, he made sure we were comfortable and well supplied with refreshments as-well as entertaining us with stories from the area and its past.

Sunset Porto bridge tour aboard sailboat with wine
Although it was not a sailing trip, due to the confined river space, it was a relaxing powered sailboat tour of the Porto bridges while sipping wine or port of your choice, emerging past the breakwater as the sun dipped below the horizon. Great hosts.
