...up above. Very nice performances of different traditional Greek dances. It did seem a little repetitive at times, but overall it was a worthwhile diversion from the tourist crowds and heat. Used the Freenow app to taxi to / from the parking lot that sits on the SW side of Philopappos Hill (Arakinthou street.) The ticket office and a small concession stand are there. A short walk on pavement to the theatre itself from the entrance gate. There were probably only 75 visitors, so plenty of empty seats on our very warm night. The official theatre website doesn't appear to sell tickets on-line. The website lists a ticket price of 20 Euro and we paid that same amount in USD thru Viator, so no need to pay anything extra for a Skip-The-Ticket, as there was no line.
Lovely to see the traditional dances and costumes from different regions, really keeping the culture alive. Good to know the dances change frequently, will definitely return if we get back to Athens. Great value tickets available on viator and plenty of local transport options. We followed access directions near Acropolis but there is a more access friendly entrance on the opposite side/car park entrance.
Better have your own transportation No taxis at the end of the show And no easy walking up or down hill lol
A unique and immersive experience! The show lasts about 1.5 hours, divided into three moments, each very special in its own way.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience! The dancers, musicians, costumes and joy were all so very special!
Traditional music and dances, not flashy. The complexity and subtlety of steps is their professionalism
It would be helpful if directions could be generated and shared with those purchasing tickets for this event because the signage within the Old City to locate the outdoor theatre was poor. We had difficulties finding our way there but wow, what a show! Highly recommend this cultural experience! Pat
I love the show very authentic and professional a great experience
Fantastic experience! Amazing dancers and such beautiful costumes. Just a wonderful thing to do on our first night in Athens.
It was a beautiful show but there could be more interaction with the audience because the space allows it. The audience could participate dancing for a few minutes
