Amazing tour filled with lots of eating and knowledge. Brian is amazing, so funny and informative. The tour takes you round the farm, showing every process with constant fruit being served! Also get coffee, hot chocolate and rum at the end! Highly recommend!
What a great experience! Shout out to Brian who was funny, informative and included everyone in the experience. My daughter and I joined over an hour late due to an unexpected trip to urgent care, but Brian made sure we had as close to the full experience as possible. He skipped his 10min coffee break between tours and gave us a mini tour complete with the tastings we missed! He insisted saying “you came all the way from USA for this and we will do a speed round tour”. What a special opportunity to learn from this family farm.
Such a fun and DELICIOUS activity!!! It was raining the entire time of our tour which added to the experience!! Super fun!
This is an awesome tour that is not to be missed. We were a family with kids in their elementary school years and our tour guide Dan was so energetic with the kids and teaching everyone about chocolate, coffee, animals, and the rainforest area. I would definitely recommend this tour to any of my friends and family. We were given snacks almost every 5-10 minutes: fresh fruit, coffee, chocolate. Saw a sloth too!
Very interesting and funny guide. Unfortunately, explanations only in English. (but we knew that). We thought we would taste more things, as more were announced at the start. (no spices, rambutan, coconut).
Thoroughly enjoyed this informative experience. This isn’t a big commercial thing- it’s family owned. Our tour guide showed us the tools his father and grandfather used to harvest the cacao beans for generations. I highly recommend! A few things that aren’t in the booking info- 1. You don’t need any special shoe, but I’d recommend sneakers. I wore flip flops and got a few little bug bites walking through the property. Not a must, but I wished I’d worn closed toe. 2. They give TONS of fruit samples that were absolutely delicious, in addition to a chocolate banana at the start. Unexpected treat! Highly recommend Don Olivo- kind family and informative tour!
Educational and fun experience.
Our tour guide was called Brian and he was absolutely brilliant. Really engaging, especially with our 6 year old who loved him! We were kept fed throughout the tour and learnt a lot about the chocolate making process whilst also encountering wildlife! I’d definitely recommend to anyone visiting Costa Rica!
Had a great tour with lots of explanations in a very exciting way, being able to taste everything. Highly recommended!
The chocolate tour was one of our favorite activities. It was very insightful, our tour guide was amazing, and we loved learning about the chocolate-making process. The fresh fruit and chocolate tastings were absolutely delicious.
