Doha: Traditional Dhow Cruise Tour with Dinner on board

Such a lovely experience in Doha! The traditional dhow cruise was relaxing and a beautiful way to see the city skyline from the water, especially once the lights came on in the evening. The atmosphere on board was really enjoyable, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and dinner was good with a nice variety of food. It was a peaceful evening and a great break from sightseeing around the city. I’d definitely recommend this experience if you’re visiting Doha and want something relaxing with great views.

Do not book with this operator. Qatar International Tours. You will not get what you paid for. As previous guest stated, it is a total shambles at the dock. When the boat is full, it leaves. They don't check which boat has dinner on it or which passengers have booked dinner, it just goes. You get herded like sheep and place your trust in them hoping that everything will be ok. Big mistake. They just simply don't care. They are so busy you are just a number. The person at customer service/ reception at the dock from Qatar International Tours, his name is Imran. I sure hope nobody has to have any dealings with this manager. He is disgraceful. Could not give a damn about us not being put on the correct boat. He did however offer a refund only if we didn't leave a negative review. His exact words were" If you leave a negative review I will not give you a refund. It is me who determines if I give a refund or not."He is arrogant, a liar and egotistical. I lodged a formal complaint to Qatar Tourism Authority out of principle to get a refund and for Imran to be accountable. Only then did I get a partial refund. I had to lodge a second complaint to get the remainder. He fought to the end not to enable this to happen. It is so ironic that he openly admitted that they had made a mistake and that they will give a refund but only after issuing a blackmail of not leaving a review. The whole point of an honest review, is to inform future customers of your experience, be that good or bad. I will not be forced by a tour operator to curtail my review for a service that was not delivered.

DINNER IS A LIE!!! Please don't believe what is written. Our tour was between 7 and 9 pm. We arrived at 7 pm. I showed them our booking from TripAdvisor, but they could not find our names. Then someone remembered our names and told us to wait in the waiting area. We waited until 7:30 and reminded them of what we should do. They said the dhows had already started to take off. Every time we reminded them about dinner. They told us to join the huge crowd in line. The system works like this: when a dhow is full, it takes off. It was chaos. Organization is zero: no one on staff knows what to do. Of course, there is no dinner on board. If you can find water somewhere on the dhow, you are lucky. It was 10 pm, and we were still on the dhow. It was a terrible experience that we would never recommend. If you are still planning, don't pay extra for dinner. There is no dinner. Prepare your own food and drinks.

The trip didn't happen. Cancelled by the boat owner. Nobody cares about the restitution of the money. To date, about 3 weeks later, the amount has not been transferred back. So you better not book anything here.

Beautiful night view of Doha. Boat was smooth. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I am not feeling well today so have nothing else to say. My illness has nothing to do with the boat ride.

The Dhow cruise was brilliant. The scenery magnifient. The tour guude, Miakam? was very informative and knowldgeable. Also took the best photos for everybody Chef and food excellent. Lights of City skyline amazing.

What a fantastic experience! I booked a dinner cruise around Doha Harbour through Viator and it exceeded expectations. Cruising past the stunning Doha skyline at night, with the water shimmering and a beautiful crescent moon above, made it incredibly special. The skipper was professional, friendly and very attentive, making everyone feel welcome and relaxed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was brilliant, and it was excellent value for money. And managed to get some amazing photos along the way. Highly recommended — a perfect way to experience Doha from the water.

We took a family tour (seven of us) on 17th February 2026, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The boat was spacious and comfortable, and the BBQ food was absolutely delicious. A special thanks to Moazzam, who took great care of us throughout the trip. He was friendly, attentive, and patiently answered all our questions. He also kindly helped us take photos of the beautiful views, making sure we captured some wonderful family memories. If you’re visiting Doha, this is definitely a must-do activity! It was a perfect way to spend a relaxing, chill evening together as a family. Highly recommended.
