Itinerary

Admission included120 min

DMZ is demilitarized zone and a buffer zone between North Korea and South Korea. The lines reach 248 km in length from Jeongdong-ri, Paju-si to Myeongho-ri, Goseong-gun. At the present time, an area within 2 km in both the north and south side is designated as the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). Excluding the DMZ, the overall area is considered to be the most heavily militarized region in the world.

Admission included60 min

The 3rd Tunnel was discovered by South Korea in 1978. It spans over 1,635m in length, 2m in width, and 2m in height and is located 52km from Seoul. It is estimated that approximately 30,000 soldiers could move through the tunnel per hour. The scale is similar to the 2nd Tunnel, but it was thought to be more threatening as an invasion tool than the 1st and 2nd Tunnels. Located only 4km away from Imjingak toward the southwest and 3.5km from the Tongilchon area, it is accessible by car in approximately 45 min from Seoul.

Admission included60 min

DMZ tour includes visiting Dora Observatory where you can see North korea if the weather is good, the 3rd tunnel, and Dorasan Station which is the last station in South Korea and there will be Pyeongyang station 205km away from this station. Dorasa Station is currently closed. It can be replaced if Dora observatory is closed.

90 min

If you select Suspension bridge option, we will visit Chulleong Bridge near DMZ area. It is a bridge that connects the valley of the mountain, where black and blue lights can be seen simultaneously between the rocks. You can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery in all four seasons by crossing the 150m swinging bridge. Gamaksan Suspension Bridge can be replaced with one of other suspension bridges, Lake suspension bridge or Hantangang(river) suspension bridge.

Admission included180 min

Every Monday, we will visit the 2nd tunnel, Peace Observatory, and Suspension Bridge

A must-see tour, and a wonderful tour guide.

This is a very interesting tour. If Danny is assigned to be your guide, you will have a blast. Plus, Danny is very knowledgeable, detailed oriented and very thorough. I even noticed other groups paying attention to Danny instead of their own guide. Starting from the bridge to the Unification village, you will feel amazed by the facts and the beautiful landscapes. We came in August and it was very humid and sunny. Bring an umbrella or hat, very good walking shoes and snacks because the restroom and restaurant stops are quick and sometimes crowded. Wear summertime outfits and sunscreen. Bring water. If you buy the tunnel portion, non slippery shoes. And don’t buy any souvenirs until the very end at Unification Village because you find there almost everything from the previous stops, at better prices as the village is located this is a special commercial zone. BDW Danny should train the other guides for customer service.

Great Day!

Great day! Driver sent a msg the night before via WhatsApp reminding us of time and pickup location. Roy was right on time. He provided us with information at every stop we made and made sure we had pictures where/when we could. Stopped at a bridge, the 2nd tunnel, an observatory and a train station. I went on a Monday and the DMZ site we went to was quite quiet compared to the other tunnel. We were picked up in a van as opposed to a large bus.

Danny was our tour guide...

Danny was our tour guide and was incredibly informative! We really enjoyed listening to his stories at each stop and we learned so much about the history of the DMZ and impacts on Korean culture. He is incredibly friendly and so funny too. We highly recommend him as your tour guide for this excursion!
