Come and discover the magical universe of the lava tunnels of the 2004 flow of Piton de la Fournaise in the town of Sainte-Rose with our instructors specialized in volcanology • 2h30 hiking-caving circuit underground easy level accessible from 5 years old in a recent lava tunnel filled with exceptional basaltic formations (lava waterfalls, vitrified walls, benches, lava stalactites, lava stalagmites etc...) • Supervision in small groups of 8 people maximum for more safety and conviviality. • Specific clean and quality equipment provided • Photo report and aperitif offered at the end of each visit • Visits possible in French and English • It is necessary to be able to walk on all fours for about 15 meters so to have sufficient mobility to participate in this activity

A great experience done as a family, with 2 children aged 11 and 15! Franck was a great guide, who explained many things to us with pedagogy and passion. I recommend it!
It was great! Wear pants and a t-shirt with your shoulders covered. Bring a small backpack that contains water. Our guide, Frank, was very nice and he knew a lot about the lava tunnels and also the plants and birds of the region. And afterwards, there were drinks! Fantastic.

Frank is passionate and makes the athletic hike in the lava tubes of the 2004 flow absolutely fascinating. There are no mandatory crawling sections, but there are three that you can do, which vary the challenge. Overall, the course is varied and led at a pace accessible to most people.
A great experience with Vincent. He adapts the outing to the group, he knows his subject by heart, he is fascinating and passionate. I can only recommend it!

We experienced a moment out of time accompanied by a guide who lives his passion to the fullest, and who shares it with complete simplicity; we really appreciated the format that Vincent proposed to us. We did the 2004 lava tunnel outing, accessible from age 5, with our 6 and 9-year-old children and had a great time. Total duration of almost 4 hours with 2 hours 30 minutes underground and we didn't see the time pass! Everything is provided in terms of equipment and the guide takes care of taking souvenir photos, which is great because you can really enjoy the moment. Vincent is a brilliant guide, a true enthusiast who shares his knowledge in a super fun way for adults and children alike. We will certainly ask to have Vincent for a future volcano excursion on Reunion Island!
