Discovering the Schist Villages with Aventura Fortes and having Sérgio as our guide was a different experience! We visited some of the villages that are fantastic and he took us to visit Miranda do Corvo, the city where our great-grandmother was born and it was very exciting! Sergio and Manuel treated me to a wonderful 4WD tour of the mountains around Coimbra. Roe deer, wild boar, rare birds, the scat of a predator, and more! What more does a person need? How about a great visit to a stone village, complete with a stone dog, stone art, and a taste of very local honey. Plus a cup of coffee and a pastel do nata from a stone coffee shop. We also collected digital photos from two trail cameras, hoping to see signs of other important wildlife. Definitely a morning well spent. Thanks, boys!
