The first sight on the tour is Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque which is truly a masterpiece of the world architecture. It took 6 years to erect it and in 2001 it was successfully opened. This mosque is a traditional light Islamic building made from sandstone and marble. It has got 5 minarets – one main and 4 side minarets which create a special distinctive look. The internal design is rich in mosaics, huge handmade Persian carpets and chandeliers decorated with crystals.

Bait Al Zubair is cultural foundation started initially with a private museum that opened its carved wooden doors to the public in 1998. It is funded by its founders, the Zubair family. In 2005 the family established the Bait Al Zubair Foundation as the cultural and social arm of the family-owned business, The Zubair Corporation. The Foundation manages the cultural space and develops projects relating to culture and heritage, the arts, the community, history and publishing. Bait al Zubair displays the family’s collection of Omani artefacts that spans a number of centuries, and is considered to be the finest that is privately owned. Its ethnographic artefacts reflect highly specialised inherited skills that define Oman’s society, both past and present. It is one of the country’s architectural icons and in 1999 was the proud recipient of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos’ Award for Architectural Excellence, the first time it was awarded in Oman.

Relaxed and informative
What a nice tour! A small group of 3 felt like It was a family outing. Our tour guide, Mahommed, was very polite and knows a lot of the city. He even helped me bargaining at the Souq. There was no rush, the clients determined the pace of the tour. Our van was in good condition, lots of space. I especially liked the karak chai that was offered to us towards the end of the tour. Highly recommended.

Wonderful tour of Muscat
We had an amazing tour discovering Muscat. The beautiful Opera House, Mutrah Fort, Museum and Palace, and the incredible Muscat Mosque. It has to be seen to be believed.
Our tour guide Mahmoud was so informative, and gave us a wonderful introduction to the history of Muscat. Mahmoud is an exceptional guide. A great ambassador for his country. We enjoyed this tour very much.

Great way to see Muscat
Mohammed Aldighaishi was the guide for our group and did a great job, his great personality lifted the tour to another level. He also gave advice on fair prices for the stop at the souk. The tour itself was very good aswell, a great way to see the main highlights of Muscat and get a feel for the city and culture of Muscat. Thank you Mohammed for the great day!

Fantastic tour with a fantastic tour guide!
This tour was very well managed by the lovely Mohammed Aldighaishi who was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. It was wonderful to get to know more about Omani culture and traditions and how better to do that than through an native Omani?! The tour highlight was the Grand Mosque for me which was truly spectacular. We had a lovely tour group from different parts of the world - we all got on well. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oman for the first time. You would be lucky to have Mohammed as your guide :-)
