The tour was easy and beautiful. Nice drivers. However, there were no malasadas or goi g by the statue after Diamond Head. That was very disappointing especially after it is advertised and you pay for those little extra perks.
This was an excellent tour experience. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to Diamond Head. Then our driver picked us back up right on time. It was a great experience.
We were excited for our Diamond Head tour and had specifically chosen the option that included Marsala. Our ticket clearly listed both parts of the tour, so we were surprised and disappointed when the guide—and later her supervisor—insisted that the Marsala portion was not in their system. While we understand that technical issues can happen, it was frustrating that no effort was made to honor what was printed on our confirmed ticket. We hope this can be addressed in the future so other guests don’t have the same experience.
Great hike and easy shuttle there and back. The best thing about it - is the tour company does the reservations and entry fee for you. I didn’t have reservations and it was sold out to hike diamond head, so I booked a Diamond Head Hike with this company and I was able to go thankfully.
I believe we actually were there much earlier than 7. We caught the bus at 5am and waited until they opened the gates to diamond head at 6 AM. It was still dark and the sun didn’t come up till a little after 7 AM. It was a little rough. I should’ve brought my headlamp with me, but I think that’s one of the darkest days of the year. We had so much fun photographing up at the top that we lost track of time and realized our bus was leaving at 7:30. We had to run down very uneven steps with lots of people everywhere coming up and down as we were excusing ourselves as we ran past people - we thought we’d definitely miss the bus, but as we came running up, the bus was still there. Now that was a very kind driver to wait for us. I think we were 10 minutes late. So if you’re thinking of taking this, remember, you can’t take photos for too long because you have to get back to the bus.! we were back at our hotel by 8 AM.
