Denali Naturalist Walking Tour

My hike with Alex was great! I have a feeling it will be the best part of my Alaska adventure. I am traveling solo, but I met a really nice family on my hike. Denali Backcountry Guides was very good with follow-up about my booking and when the original booking had to be canceled due to lack of enough people signed up, they worked with me to make sure I could still go hiking. Alex was very prompt picking me up at my lodge, he was pleasant and personable, and his knowledge of the trail and the nature around it was incredible. We all learned so much. The weather got just a little rainy and windy towards the end of our hike, but that didn’t stop us at all. I would recommend this company, and Alex, to anyone who asks for my advice.

Andy, our guide, was very knowledgeable and engaging and eager to share his excitement with us. The hike was not arduous and the scenery was beautiful. Highly recommend.

Connor was a very knowledgeable, friendly, and funny guide. I learned a ton more than expected about local wildlife, plants, and mushrooms here in Alaska. Pace of the walk was great, and the views were spectacular since our group was all ok with a little elevation gain. Top notch walk. Highly recommended.

Connor was our guide on the Denali Naturalist Walking tour. He picked us up on time at our hotel, and led us on a breathtaking trail where he shared his expert knowledge of plants, wildlife and the amazing ecosystem. He made this tour entertaining as well as informative. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Our morning hike with Naturalist, Andy, for our guide was super enjoyable. We learned so much about animal habitats and the miraculous symbiotic relationships that exist in the boreal forest. We ate several types of berries durin our hike too. Andy shared a book recommendation ao.we can learn more. We enjoyed that it was a small group experience. Excellent use of our limired time!

The explanation is thorough and easy to understand, and I can understand what I should do, so I have no particular concerns. Also, I was able to understand the mechanisms of nature very enjoyably because I could learn various things while walking. There is nothing specific I need to know beforehand.

Our experience in this 3 hour walk in the Denali Park region with our guide, Alex, was exceptional. Our weather was perfect for the walk, and our guide extremely knowledgeable. My wife and I were the only ones on t5he walk, and we learned much about the flora and fauna of the area. At 77 I’m not as nimble as I was younger, but Alex was attentive to our ability on this mild-to-moderate walk. I highly advice this experience, and if you’re lucky enough to get Alex as your guide, you will learn much about a beautiful part of our country.

Really scenic and easy trail along the river. Our guide, Eric, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot and we had some good laughs too! Very enjoyable and nice exercise.

This was such a great experience. Our guide Javier knew about trees, berries, birds, bugs, hiking trails, weather changes, and was a delightful person to boot. We only had a couple of days in Denali and this really enhanced our appreciation for the park in ways we would never have understood otherwise.

Eric was a charming, knowledgeable guide who brings passion and enthusiasm to his work. We learned a lot on our easy stroll through the boreal forest. The knowledge enabled me to enjoy my afternoon hike much more.
