It is now an extensive archaeological site with a small modern town of the same name nearby. It is recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Our group of 10 hired Elegant Greek Tours for a private tour of Delphi from Athens. The driver (Dimitris), the vehicle and guide (forget name) were amazing and suited our group perfectly. We were also taken to a fantastic restaurant in Delphi for lunch (at our cost) overlooking the valley out to the ocean - beautiful place and the food was excellent.
