Beautiful day trip to the Ouzoud waterfalls
A fun and beautiful day trip to the Ouzoud waterfalls, guided by a local guide. The transport from the pickup point to the central collection point went smoothly. Upon arrival, there was little communication at first, so it wasn't clear what the plan was, but with a little patience, this problem resolved itself. Once in the right bus, we set off towards the waterfalls.
The bus transport was fine in itself and there was air conditioning. The bus was almost completely full, so we were quite close to each other. For a ride of about three hours, this was therefore a little less comfortable. Nevertheless, we had a nice day and it was definitely worth visiting the beautiful waterfalls. A recommendation if you want to see more of the surroundings during your vacation!
Operator response
Dear Joël ,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by the change of vehicle during your tour.
We would like to clarify the reason for this arrangement. The pickup point in the city is not accessible to our larger group bus due to a traffic restriction sign that prevents large vehicles from entering that area. Since this is a shared group tour, we therefore use smaller minivans to collect guests from the designated meeting points and bring them to the central departure point, where the larger bus can safely operate.
We always try to organize this process with our guests’ comfort and convenience in mind. In your particular case, the pickup point was chosen because it was the closest accessible meeting point to your accommodation. Rather than asking you to make your own way to our main departure point, we arranged for our smaller minivan to collect you directly from the closest possible location and take you to the main meeting point. This allows us to avoid creating additional inconvenience for our guests, especially when their accommodation is not easily accessible to a large bus.
The same arrangement is necessary at the end of the excursion: the large bus cannot return directly to the pickup location because of the same access restriction, so guests are transferred back by smaller minivans and dropped off at the original meeting point.
We fully understand that changing vehicles can be less convenient, and we are sorry that this affected your comfort. Unfortunately, this is a logistical requirement imposed by the accessibility restrictions in that area rather than a choice we make for our guests.
We are nevertheless pleased to hear that you enjoyed your day at the beautiful Ouzoud Waterfalls and felt that the experience was worthwhile.
Thank you again for your understanding and for your constructive feedback. We will continue doing our best to make this transfer process as smooth and comfortable as possible for our guests.
Warm regards,
Asmaa Idar

Trip with Abdelaali to vist waterfalls
The trip to the waterfalls was amazing. We had a fantastic driver called Abdelaali who was very informative along the way on this 3 hour drive, stopped along the way for bathroom breaks both going and coming back. He sorted out our guide when we got there who was amazing. Throughly recommend this trip well worth the long drive.

Guests be aware of the hidden costs before booking.
The guide was terrible. His English was terrible. He seemed to explain things in detail to the French guests and then gave a brief explanation in broken English to us. He also lied to us about the cost of lunch at the beginning of the tour. He said lunch would cost 40 dhirums per person but after we finished lunch the waiter demanded 120 dhirums per person. When we talked to the guide about that he denied point blank about the 40 dhirums. Also it was never explained to us that the boat ride to the falls would cost a further 40 dhirums per person until after we sat in the boat. Also at the end of the tour he demanded a further 40 dhirums per person gratuity which we did not pay him as we were very disappointed with him by this time.

Gorgeous waterfalls
The falls are beautiful and was worth the 3 hour drive from Marrakech to visit. The advert says you need to be moderately fit but If you are sore/unfit in anyway, you will struggle as there are may steps.

Falls day out
Would have been better if lunch was at the falls instead of an hour away. The coach broke down on the way to lunch and we were stuck by the roadside for 3 hours waiting for a replacement coach!
There are 500 steps down and up again so you need to be mobile.
The rafts at the base of the falls were great fun.

Beautiful location. Terrible tour.
The waterfalls are spectacularly beautiful and I would recommend a trip there. What I would not recommend is going there on this tour and instead going independently. The bus driver dropped us off with no indication of where or when he would be back to collect us instead we met our tour guide who started by saying he wanted a tip of at least 3 Euros. Instead of focusing on the waterfalls themselves he then took us on a tour of places nearby where we could spend money. If you do go on the tour I would suggest getting confirmation from the driver of where and when he will meet you so that you can then take your time to enjoy the falls by yourself.

Well worth it!!
The tour guide was excellent. We had a lot of flexibility with photo taking opportunities, or with just going off on our own. The drive to and from was air conditioned and very comfortable. I opted to buy peanuts to feed the monkeys, which was really fun. Highly recommend at a very affordable price.

3 hours drive worth it
You should first know that the journey takes 3 hours by bus before arriving at your destination.
A transport took me to my hotel at 8:00 am , we went to meet other people at the Bus , we left at about 9:00 am... so an hour wait . Then we made about 3 hours drive with a 15 minute stopover.
In Ouzoud we saw the falls from the top , beautiful , we went down on foot , and sometimes it is slippery and rocky so plan good walking shoes ,
We stayed some time for the photos at the base of the falls .it is beautiful. I advise against swimming because the water is brown.
And we started climbing to go eat.
Note: for people who are asthmatic like me, don’t forget your Ventolin ... a woman helped me with her own pump. Thank you.
Then we continued the climb to see and feed the monkeys free and accustomed to man
And back to the bus for another 2:45 3:00 drive.
So departures at 8:00 from the hotel , return at 19:45 to the hotel .
Nice adventure even if it was very long.
If you have time I think it is to do.

Do more research and find a company that makes you feel less like cattle
The waterfall was beautiful. It is a very long drive. If you are looking for very touristy things to do I would recommend it. I would avoid this company though. The van ride there was comfortable but on the way back the driver refused to turn on the AC until everyone in the van started complaining. This was on a hot September day. The place itself is beautiful but overrun was touristy crap that mars the experience. Lots of people looking to nickel and dime you everywhere. Guide dumps you at a restaurant at the end where they charge you 10 euro for a chicken tagine with one chicken leg in it. After a long hike, I was basically overcharged to eat bread and a pot of onions. Then you have to find your own way from the restaurant back to the van. It was strange to just get abandoned like that.
