Day Tour to El Fayoum Visiting starting with pickup from your Hotel at 07:00 AM, Drive from Cairo to El Fayoum around 1 hour, Then once you arrive change to 4x4 vehicle and start the tour by visitng the Tunis Village in Fayoum, The small village of Tunis (‘izbat Tunis) is located in the oasis of Fayoum, on the way to Wadi Rayan. Located on a hill facing a large salt water lake, the village overlooks a stunning view of the edge of the desert on the other side of the lake. It is one of the most beautiful places in Egypt.

I had the most amazing experience today, thanks to their seamless organization and the incredible guide, Mahmoud Mahran 🙌🏻. Being a female solo traveller, I was a little bit concerned about the safety and the ride to the remote desert by myself with a male guide, but it ended up being the most comfortable experience ever!! I have travelled to over 40 countries in the world and this one felt like the most welcoming one. The guide and local bedouins made me feel safe throughout the entire trip. They were super cheerful which made it even more pleasant. From the moment I was picked up, Mahmoud’s warm and friendly demeanor set the tone for the day. He was not only knowledgeable but also made the entire journey so enjoyable. ☀️ We then hit the ‘road’ in the desert with a 4x4 Jeep, our Bedouin driver took us to the first stop which was the Whale Fossil Museum in Wadi El Hitan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that left me in awe. Seeing the prehistoric fossils and learning about the area’s ancient marine history was an absolute highlight. Next, we explored Wadi El Rayan, a stunning oasis with breathtaking waterfalls. The scenery was straight out of a postcard, and Mahmoud’s insights into the area’s natural wonders made it even more captivating. Then, we arrived at Magic Lake, which truly lives up to its name and was filled with fish 🐟 . Surrounded by sand dunes, the shimmering blue waters were otherworldly. We even had time for a relaxing break by the lake, soaking in the serenity of this hidden gem and take stunning pictures. I rode a horse along the shore of the lake which was also an unforgettable experience!! 🐎 The day ended with a delicious dinner in a Bedouin camp 🏕️. The food was authentic and flavorful, and the atmosphere—complete with desert stars overhead—was magical. I wish I had stayed there for a few nights to do some stargazing 💫 and more desert exploring. Mahmoud Marhan made every moment of the day unforgettable, blending adventure, history, and cultural experiences into a perfect package. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore Egypt’s wonders in a fun and hassle-free way away from busy Cairo!
