We recently took this tour and would recommend it 100%! It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. A special thank you to Ronnie from start to finish on the bus trip, also Tori for managing our boat, and to Mya, our wonderful guide during the village visit. The Highlights Cultural Immersion: The history of Fiji was fascinating. As Christians, we were deeply touched by the story of the Reverend and felt very welcomed by the prayer before our meals. The Entertainment: The dancing was exceptional—especially the fire dancing and the machete performance, which were both impressive and exciting. The fire walking as well! Better lighting would be great! The Food: The meal was delicious, particularly the fresh mud crab, eggplant, and spinach. Outstanding Service: Ronnie and his colleagues went above and beyond. Not only was he great on the bus, dancing, and cooking, but he and his team were incredibly kind and helpful when we were trying to find my husband’s missing wedding ring after snorkeling (still lost though :( ) Tips for Future Travelers What to Wear: Bring waterproof footwear (thongs/sandals) as getting on and off the boat can be wet. Thankfully they do provide sarong for the village visit as well. Managing Expectations: Be aware that the return trip can be late (past 11:00 PM) as it may involve a transfer to a smaller bus. Also, note that there is a fuel surcharge of 15 FJD per person (context Iran US war), which is mentioned after booking. Activity Planning: If you choose to go snorkeling, be aware that it overlaps with the ancient pottery bush walk. I had hoped to do both, but you will need to choose one. Additionally, while the 4:00 PM–6:00 PM "chill" time is lovely, kayaking is not available during that window. Facility Feedback: We had a great time at Likuri Island, but it would be even better if there were stronger shower heads in all the cubicles, especially in the back shower. Everything else about the program was wonderful. Thank you to the whole team for such a memorable day!
It is a long day but well worth every minute. The hospitality was off the charts. If you go, know that you should bring your own towel if possible. They will rent one to you for $15. Not terrible but would have been nice to know ahead of time.
Loved the Village. Learned so much. Island was rustic but relaxing. Staff were great. Only reason not a 5⭐️is they charge for water. Too long of a trip with no free water option
Great experience, it is quite a long day but covers many of the experiences you would want in an authentic Fiji experience. You can shop for small trinkets and other items in the village with cash so make sure to bring some if that interests you. I don't think all activities will be covered, ie, didn't get a chance to see the crab race (I think because we only caught one). Snorkelling was okay, you can see some small fish and only about whats in front of you, the coral seemed pretty dead. I'm not sure if its just this time of the year but that was my experience. We were catered for and the staff are all lovely and lively. The dinner and the entertainment (goes on for much longer than you might think) was amazing and truly made it an unforgettable night. Everything else included was great.
This excursion was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I learned so much about Fijian culture throughout the day, and the team made the entire experience fun, welcoming, and memorable. The food was delicious, and the traditional fire show was truly spectacular—one of the highlights of my time in Fiji. It’s a full‑day tour, but it’s completely worth it. You get so much out of the experience, from cultural insights to great entertainment and beautiful island scenery. I highly recommend this excursion. Thumbs up!
Tori and the staff were all amazing. We even got to play beach volleyball with the staff in the afternoon and it was so good to be included. Well done to you all and they got us safely back to land with the heavy rainfall which made the river rise.
Bula Sonias, vinaka vakalevu for your fantastic 5/5 review! We’re so happy to hear you had such a great time with us. Tori and the team will be absolutely thrilled to know they helped make your experience so memorable. We love including our guests in activities like beach volleyball, it’s all part of the fun, relaxed island vibe and making everyone feel part of the family. We’re also glad you felt safe and well looked after during the heavy rainfall. Our team always prioritises guest safety, especially when river conditions change, so your recognition of that means a lot. Thank you for recommending us as a “must do”, we truly appreciate it and hope to welcome you back again soon for more island fun! 🌴😊
It was an awesome experience! I loved learning about the culture here, and the people are so kind. The only thing that I would change is how late it goes. We didn’t get back to our hotel until midnight.
This tour is basically split into three parts: visiting a Fijian village, spending the day on the island, and then the evening performance. The village visit was okay, but honestly, if you’ve already done other tours with a kava ceremony or seen how locals live, you won’t get much new out of it. The island stay is where you get lunch and can join in on some activities like snorkeling, watching someone climbing a coconut tree, and trying fresh coconut juice. The island itself isn’t exactly picture-perfect though — if you’re looking for those postcard-style, crystal-clear waters, you’re better off joining one of the other sea tours that go to more remote spots. The best part of the day is definitely the night show. You can actually book it separately. It kind of reminded me of the shows you’d see at theme parks in the States — fun and entertaining, even if the food was just so-so. They sometimes run out of utensils when busy and literally rinse used ones and bring them back still wet, wrapped in napkins. Not the most sanitary setup, so maybe bring your own if you’re picky about that. The fire dancing part of the show was awesome and definitely the highlight. You’ve probably seen similar traditional dances at resort dinners, but the fire performance really stands out. If you’re doing the dinner show, try to get there on the first boat — you’ll catch the sunset, which makes the whole thing a lot more memorable.
Out of everything we did on this trip, this was the families absolute favourite !! I would recommend this to everyone !!
This was one of the most incredible excursions I have ever experienced! So many activities and experience, including a visit to Vusama village, Kava Ceremony, Likuri island for beach time and a buffet lunch. Then dinner prepared in a Lovo underground oven and the highlight of the evening a 2 hour fire show with dancers! If you only book one excursion in Fiji do this one! Amazing!
