Unknown Denver Tour

The tour guide was very experienced, dressed the part, was very versed and well spoken with the material. He provided an in-depth historical background as well as individual stories about the particular spirits/energy. He was also very easy on the eyes according to my girl lol.

A spooky great time in Denver.

We've taken ghost tours all over the world including Budapest, Prague, Edinburgh, Scotland, and London. This was right on par, if not exceeded those. Rachel was fantastic and brought along some paranormal research tools such as cat balls and EMF readers that periodically would give off readings that couldn't otherwise be explained, and was a human encyclopedia of Denver's haunted history. We spent the first hour at Union Station going to various locations throughout the building, including several rooms in the basement, as well as a few places within the Oxford Hotel, finishing the tour there. We had one of our fellow tourmates take a picture of the Sugar Building and captured an orb the size of a basketball in a photo. Well done... highly recommended!

Bring comfortable shoes!...

Bring comfortable shoes! This walking tour with Jonathan was very informational and he is a great storyteller, but you will be standing a lot as you listen and walk to each location. The choice of haunted locations were a good pick for the Union Station area, and there are plenty of eateries and bars you can visit afterwards, just know that the tour can run long if you have any reservations afterwards.

Knowledgeable Guide

Jonathen was very knowledgeable and knew his history. He did not sugar coat the tragedies that happened in Denver and it is very much appreciated. I would do this tour again. My favorite paranormal story was the Murder Suicide in The Oxford Hotel. My favorite history story were the Espinoza Brothers.

Spooky good tour!

It was fun. Josh was a good tour guide. There is some walking involved and stair climbing, so just know in advance what you're getting into. This tour made me want to learn more about Denver's history.

We had a wonderful time learning the chilling history behind the union station and its surrounding areas.

We had such an amazing and insightful time. The tour was so cool and I learned some much more then I ever thought I would about the Colorado train station and the surrounding area .

Ask about the tour before you go

The description of the tour said we would only be at Union Station for 20 minutes and then move on to other locations. We were at Union Station for an hour and a half, and didn’t make it to most of the other locations listed. I trust Viator and the reviews I see on Viator, but this one was very disappointing. While I think our tour guide was passionate about Denver history, I just felt that the tour didn’t live up to the description.

Operator response

We are so sorry that you have had this experience with us. We were required to put up an itinerary on our Viator listing. That is where the tour normally goes but it does vary. You might not have seen our disclaimer that said "Every tour is unique and different. We don't always go to the same locations and route indicated. Sometimes events at buildings will limit our access or things going on downtown." Sometimes with questions and conversations that happen on the tour, or when we have activity on our equipment, we might stay in an area longer than listed. I am glad that you recognized your guides passion for the history of Denver. We all care about telling these tales the best we can and in an entertaining way. I appreciate your constructive criticisms and as a small business, we take these reviews to heart. We want everyone that finds us to enjoy their time with us. We are sorry that we did not do that with you.

Amazing!

It is full of knowledge and is extremely interesting, not just in the spooky aspect, but the historical one. We had the best tour guide, in fact, I took Johnathan’s NOLA ghost tour in 2021, so to see him here was the best and most pleasant surprise! He is GREAT!

Operator response

Thank you for your amazing review! What a small world it really is to run into Jonathan in New Orleans and now Denver! We are lucky he made his way to Denver and joined the Dark Side! Your recommendation will help more people find us and we can't thank you enough for being part of the tour:)
