Description
Experience this walking tour and learn about the darkest parts of Verona history. You will live some of the most cruel fights held in the Arena, you'll pass the old Jewish Ghetto and you'll hear about the cruel destiny of some of the people who lived there. Then, in Piazza Erbe, we'll undergo the sorrow and pain of the people exposed to the public shame, we'll pass the place where Mastiff I was murdered, reach the arch where the torture instruments were exposed, and then we'll see the Scala family Tombs, the courtyard where dozens of beheaded skeletons were found, and, of course, we'll end with the heart-breaking story of Romeo & Juliet. Be prepared to gasp and cry, to held your breath and feel touched and moved while living the ill-fated, hopeless human tragedies which occurred in the very places we'll be passing by.

Great tour!
I gave the meeting or pick up three stars because it told us to be there 30 minutes early and that was a waste of time. But our tour guide was fantastic. Her name was Maria and she was very knowledgeable about many different things. We ended up not doing the “dark” history - it was just basic history of Verona. But that was fine with us. I really enjoyed it and learned so much about the city.

Yes, I'm sorry, I told Viator the starting time was 13.30 and not 13.00 as stated in their documents, but they replied they always write as a meeting time 30 minutes before, just in case. They do it by default for any tour... there's nothing I can do about it. I'm happy you liked the tour, which was tailored on what you had asked, it's been a great pleasure to be with you.
