We booked a birdwatching tour at Curi-Cancha - what a great experience! Our guide, David, was incredibly knowledgeable (as well as personable). We saw some incredible birds with him, including a three-wattled bell bird, a nesting keel-billed toucan, a nesting toucanet, and a violet sabre wing doing its mating dance (and many, many others). The Reserve also has a cute little cafe and the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen in my life.
My wife and I visited Curi Cancha just before leaving Monte Verde. We hadn't booked a tour, but lucky for us there was a guide available. Dauner did a great job! In the short time we had we learned a ton and saw lots of birds and animals. It was a great unexpected tour and we highly recommend Dauner!
Justin’ guide is perfect! He’s very patience and knowledgeable. We saw lots of birds and he explains fun facts with them which really interesting!
We wanted to see birds and Justin recommended we change the initial plans. It was a hit, we could see a couple of Quetzales! Very kind. Thank you!
Justin was a very helpful, nice and expert guide. He helped us taking nice pictures of animals and plants and explained to us many interesting curiosities. Super recommended!
Justin was an excellent tour guide through Curi Cancha. We wanted to see quetzals and even though it was rainy, he delivered. Justin was very knowledgeable about the area and Costa Rican history. His English is excellent, which helped with my kids. We saw many different types of flora and fauna and my family enjoyed the entire experience.
