Amazing tour with Matthew as the guide! He was a great guide, very knowledgeable, attentive and respectful. Great experience at the tunnels, but even better at the Mekong Delta. I would recommend it to everyone!

We depart Ho Chi Chi Minh City in the morning to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, known for its role in the anti-American resistance during the Vietnam War and now seen as a symbol of heroism. With over 220 km of underground tunnels, it's a popular tourist attraction for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. The scenic route from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi passes through the local countryside, offering sights such as ducks and buffalo along the river. Despite its tranquil appearance today, it's hard to imagine the destruction caused by bombing and mines in the past, when Cu Chi was designated as a "free target zone."
After investigating the tunnels, we'll head to My Tho, a province in the Mekong Delta region. We'll embark on a boat ride along the upper Mekong and witness the Four Animal Islands named after creatures in Buddhist lore: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this portion of the tour, you'll get a glimpse of local Vietnamese life and how it is tied to the river. Later, we'll take you on a rowboat excursion through the narrow waterways, showcasing the fertile agriculture of the delta with its fruit orchards, coconut plantations, and beekeeping farms. During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to taste honey tea, seasonal fruits, fresh coconut candy, and enjoy southern Vietnamese folk music. Finally, we'll return to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel around 6:30 PM.

Truly a special experience
Absolutely incredible experience at the Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong Delta! Wasn’t expecting the day to be packed with excursions from start to finish. Very well paced but expect a long day. Loved getting a glimpse into rural Vietnamese life during the long car rides between excursions. Our tour guide Matthew was amazing. He was extremely informative about Vietnam history and the various places we visited. Super down-to-earth, warm and intelligent young man who kept us entertained and comfortable throughout. My husband and I chose the VIP van which was worth the extra cost. It was spacious and extremely comfortable with AC. Huge shoutout to our driver Mr. Dung, he expertly navigated the crazy Vietnam streets in a torrential downpour. Boat rides were so fun and felt very safe. Vietnamese hospitality is on another level. Overall, such a fun day and so worth the money and time. Thanks to all (especially Matthew and Mr. Dung) who helped make the day memorable for me and my husband!

Our guide Matthew is very knowledgeable in explaining the history of Vietnam on our tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels. Speaking good English in sharing points of interests, the people, their livelihood in relation to the Mekong River. He is so kind and helpful and patient with assisting me , walking slowly using a cane, making the trek easy for a person with disability. My heartfelt gratitude Sir Matthew.
