Good fun morning trip

Good day on the river. Lots of travel for quite a short experience. I've done this jumping before with the other company RIver Queen, and we saw a bigger croc and got much more exposure to the crocs. We also had experience feeding the birds of prey flying around with scraps which was cool so I suggest this could be incorporated maybe for this ride ? The staff were great and knowledgeable, it's just a shame the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. An average experience for me I'm afraid. Sorry.

Very enjoyable half-day

The early morning pickup was prompt, and Tim our driver and guide was friendly and informative, entertaining us with interesting tales of Darwin history and culture along the way to the Adelaide river. The jumping crocodile river trip was a highlight, the boat pilot “Wildman” was a hoot, keeping us laughing while telling us all about the crocs. The crocodile jumping was amazing to experience at such close quarters. At the Humpty Doo pub on the way back, there is enough time for a cold beverage. However if you want a lingering lunch, wait until you get back to Darwin.

Money well spent

It was a great experience. Good visibility of the crocs once on the boat. Not sure if it’s best to book the early tour when the suns coming up as you may see more basking of a morning. The cruise tour guide was up and about and happy to answer any question with detail. Our tour guide/bus driver Tim from France was very informative and kept us all entertained on the way there and back with all sorts of information about the top end. If you’re lucky enough we got to stop in at the famous Humpty Doo tavern for 15-20 minutes on the way back for a refreshment

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your detailed experience! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the great visibility of the crocs from the boat and appreciated the informative and friendly guides, especially Tim. It sounds like you had a fantastic trip, and the stop at Humpty Doo Tavern must have been a fun highlight. We appreciate your tip about booking the early tour for potentially better morning sightings. Thanks again for your feedback, and we hope to provide more memorable adventures in the future!

Engaging despite the 12-hour drive

We received so much interesting information during the drive. About Darwin, Aborigines, animals, life here. The first stop was Crocodile Jumping. The animals are treated with a lot of respect. The tour guides have names for them and also leave them alone if they do not want to come. After that, we headed to Ubirr to see the rock paintings with a great view over the park. It was entertaining, even though the ride was quite long.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed learning about Darwin, the Aboriginal culture, and the local wildlife during your drive. It's wonderful that you appreciated the respectful treatment of the animals at Crocodile Jumping and enjoyed the breathtaking views at Ubirr. We understand the drive was long, and we’re glad it didn’t detract from your overall experience. We hope to welcome you back for more adventures soon!
