Create Your Own Colombian Emerald Ring

I had a BLAST at the ring making experience. Juan, Hesneyder and team gave me a super personalized experience, helping me design a gorgeous custom (and very unique) ring. They had so much patience letting me do the whole experience in Spanish so I could practice, and gave me tons of good info about caring for silver and shopping in the area. I had so much fun

Wow! This experience is truly a must-do if you’re in Bogotá, Colombia! It was an incredible experience that my entire family—adults, teens, and children—thoroughly enjoyed, and we would absolutely do it again. Juan’s knowledge and passion for sharing the fascinating history of Colombian emeralds, from the ancient Muisca people to the present-day esmeralderos, was evident throughout the experience. He made the history come alive and gave us a wonderful appreciation for the significance of emeralds in Colombia. During the workshop, we had several skilled craftsmen onsite who guided and assisted us in bringing our individual visions to life. It was so special to see our ideas transform into beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. I would highly recommend coming prepared with a design idea beforehand. Having an idea of what you want to create will help avoid delays and allow you to make the most of the workshop. This is truly a unique experience that our whole family loved. Highly recommend! 💚💍

Start to finish it was great. The team were so welcoming and helpful and guide you through every step, while also letting you get stuck in to each part of the process. Loved every second and absolutely love my ring! We also learned about the history of emeralds in Colombia from the pre-hispanic cultures to modern day emerald markets before making our rings.

The experience was super good. You are involved in every step of the ring's development and can design it however you want.

This probably should be listed as more than 5 hours, but it was very fun! Emeralds are very occluded/small for the included price, but you pay for the experience. Our guide, Nick, was incredible!!!

This is such a fun and unique experience! Not only you can learn about the history and the culture of emerald in Colombia, but also you can make your own ring (obviously with the help of professional jewelers). This is such a unique souvenir from Colombia and I will cherish that forever!

If you don't speak Spanish, don't worry the English instructions were very good! You get a lot of hands on experience making your own ring. It is a lot of fun!

This was such a fun and knowledgeable experience. I loved the entire process from choosing your emerald, to creating a design, and to the actual process of making the ring. Juan was amazing and fun.

On the way to the workshop, you learn many interesting things about emeralds in Colombia. The workshop itself is a lot of fun, and you are well guided. For difficult tasks, you also receive help, or the tasks can be taken over (upon request), so that the ring looks good in the end. The stones included in the price are, of course, very small. You can choose between these, or medium-sized ones for an additional cost of just over 300,000 pesos and large ones for just over 500,000 pesos.

What a great experience. Nick the guide was excellent and the whole ring making process was extremely interesting. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone that is visiting Columbia. Thanks again for a truly great experience!
