Enrique was phenomenal! He made our time in Cozumel memorable!
We loved our guide he was amazing!! I would recommend To anyone. Enrique was the best we ever had! We will come back to see him for sure. Love the Manzi’s
Enrique is simply the best! You will not find someone more passionate and knowledgeable about his island home. Gustavo at the San Gervasio park was also fantastic! His knowledge of the Mayan history of the ruins was so fascinating to hear. Gabby at Tierra Maya was so sweet and a great presenter talking about the Mayan chocolate making process and the honey that come from the stingless Melipona bees. Our pit stop at Palm Beach resort was a cherry on top. The service there was top notch!! I highly recommend getting away from the cruise ship excursions and seeing Cozumel from a different view.
We had a great outing with Enrique who was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about Cozumel’s culture and history. It was a great mix of going to different sites and stopping for pictures, as well as background information along the way. We squeezed in an excellent lunch in between visiting Mayan Ruins, touring the island and seeing its natural beauty, and going to the eastern side and seeing the beautiful coast and all the turtle nests. We packed as much as we could into our trip and pushed our schedule a bit, but it was totally worth it! Totally recommend this tour and Enrique, who was very patient and flexible with us.
Wonderful experience with Enrique. He is full of information about the island and very helpful in suggesting and picking locations that our whole family enjoyed. The communication was great which made everything very easy.
If you are looking for the absolute best way to experience Cozumel, book a tour with Enrique immediately! He gave us a flawless, comprehensive look at the island that perfectly balanced stunning natural beauty, cultural history, and local flavors. We started our journey exploring the vibrant Downtown area and the central Main Square (Plaza Central), where Enrique shared fascinating insights into local island life. From there, he took us to the incredible Chocolates Kaokao Factory learning about the Mayan history of cacao and participating in a bean-to-bar tasting experience was an absolute highlight. Enrique then navigated us through the island's distinct regions, showing us the serene North Island and taking us deep to the breathtaking Punta Sur Eco Beach Park. Seeing the pristine lagoons, historic lighthouses, and coastal wildlife was unforgettable. We cruised down the rugged, undeveloped East Coast, stopping at the famous Coconuts Bar. Perched high on the island's only cliffside, it offered spectacular ocean views, a fun atmosphere, and the perfect place to unwind. Throughout the entire day, Enrique was incredibly professional, deeply knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail. He timed our stops perfectly to avoid major cruise ship crowds and tailored the day to our rhythm. Thank you, Enrique, for sharing your beautiful island with us!
Diego was an amazing guide. He gave us the authentic Cozumel experience that we were looking for. He had some excellent suggestions and knows the island very well. He took us to the local market, a local taqueria, a free beach, a chocolate factory, a Cenote and to Tierra Maya (def a highlight!!) where we participated in some great hands-on activities. We knew we wanted to go to Tierra Maya and a beach when we booked the tour… and the rest of the time, Diego helped fill in the gaps. The jeep was in great condition with a great amount of a/c and very comfortable for the 3 of us. This was my third time in Cozumel, and this tour was way better than my previous trips where I spent most of my time at Chankanaab - swimming with dolphins and snorkeling. This time, we learned a lot about the real culture and people living on the island and really enjoyed our time. But Diego really knows his stuff and can cater to anyone’s tastes. He also had some great recommendations for all-inclusive beaches, but we chose to skip since we didn’t plan to spend too much time at the beach. Highly recommend.
Hola hola from Cozumel 😊 Thank you so much for your detailed review, it truly means a lot to us. We always do our best to adjust the itinerary to each guest’s interests and make the most out of the 5-hour experience. Our goal is to avoid the crowds and show you the authentic side of Cozumel, so you can feel like a local and experience everyday life on the island. We’re especially happy to hear that your third visit to Cozumel felt different this time, that’s exactly what we aim for 😊 And it’s great to hear how much you enjoyed Tierra Maya. Thank you for visiting and for supporting and helping keep these Mayan traditions alive. Muchísimas gracias
Angelo, our driver was great and willing to take us wherever we wanted. He did suggest Tierra Maya, a hands on cultural activity taking us back thousands of years to the Mayan way of life. We learned about the importance of stingless bees and the various types of honey, converted cacao beans into chocolate powder, tasted various tequila products, made salsa like the Mayans did thousands of years ago, and made tortillas to eat with the homemade salsa. Very informative and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended excursion.
Hola hola from Cozumel 😊 Thank you so much for your wonderful review, it truly means a lot to us. Angelo will be very happy to read your kind words. He loves what he does and always enjoys showing guests the island in a more authentic and relaxed way. We’re also very glad you enjoyed Tierra Maya. It’s a special place for us, where we share a small piece of our roots, traditions, and way of life through hands-on experiences. Thank you for taking the time to visit and for supporting and helping keep these Mayan traditions alive. That truly makes a difference. We hope to welcome you back again in the future 🌴😊
Irving was a great guide! He was very personable. He took us through Punta Sur and shared his knowledge on the park and on Myan culture.
Enrique was an excellent driver and an exceptional ambassador for the island. Great conversation, information and flexibility. Joel was super friendly and informative at the experience. Loved the attitude and insight he provided at every step of this hands on experience. I've never invited bees on my hand before, nor smelled the tequila on my flesh. I recommend doing this as a small group private tour.
