Corfu Old Town Guide Tour with Dog or City with 4 paws

What a beautiful experience this was. My partner would never normally elect to going on a guided tour, he suffers from anxiety in crowds and so for us a dog lovers, this very special opportunity was fabulous. Nina, our tour guide met us with the beautiful Shiva, her rescue dog and ‘lead tour guide’ along with gorgeous Cindy who she handed to my partner as soon as we met. He said this instantly calmed his nerves and enabled him to enjoy this very special experience. Both dogs were absolutely beautiful to walk with. Nina has very in depth knowledge of the city and history and culture which she shared as we walked along. I have to say that this is a very different experience to a ‘standard’ tour because we were able to focus on the dogs as well as enjoying the beauty of Corfu Town. Nina explained to us how the dogs are rescued and cared for by the charity. Shiva, is now thirteen years old. He is famous in Corfu and is a gorgeous rescue. Cindy is looking for her forever home and will make a wonderful companion to someone deserving of her. This tour is unique and I hope the concept of helping stray dogs as well as helping people with anxiety by bringing them together is one that every country should learn from. Nina explained that there are other schemes like this that are now operating across the world- I think it’s an amazing, brave and beautiful idea and our tiny contribution to keeping these animals safe also made us feel that we were part of something very special. If you love dogs and animals and want to learn about the history, architecture as well as learning about great places to dine and give back to the local economy, this tour could be for you. There is no ‘sell’ involved, just the wonderful experience of spending a little time with the fabulous dogs and we enjoyed every second. Lovely walking tour of Corfu which we did whilst visiting on a Cruise ship. The dog was incredibly cute and we were able to walk him. As he was very new from the shelter he was quite shy but I'm sure he will come out of his shell soon. Would recommend for all dog lovers.

Nina gave us a lot of information about Corfu and her work with Cookie and other foster dogs. She told us facts about local sites, recommended places according to what we love, and brought along the hardest working doggie to show us around Corfu. This was a lovely way to spend our first evening in the area!

This was one of the most unique and enjoyable walking tours I’ve ever experienced and I couldn’t recommend it more. Nina was an exceptional guide. Her knowledge of Corfu Town, its history, architecture and local culture was outstanding, and she shared everything with such enthusiasm that the tour was fascinating from beginning to end. She also gave us brilliant recommendations for upcoming events, places to visit and local tips that really enhanced the rest of my stay. A very special mention has to go to Cookie, the sweetest and most beautifully behaved tour companion you could ever hope to meet! Knowing that Nina is also dedicated to rescuing dogs made the experience even more special. Cookie was an absolute joy to walk alongside and brought so many smiles throughout the tour. The combination of discovering the beautiful streets and history of Corfu Town while spending time with such a lovely rescue dog made this a truly memorable experience. What a lovely way to explore the old town of Corfu! Nina, our guide was great and so knowledgeable and we enjoyed our walk. The star however was Cookie, a lovely natured boy. It was lovely to spend an hour walking with him.

Amazing experience. The dogs are so friendly and nake great assistant tour guides. We learnt a lot about Corfu and it gave us a good orientation of the city.

If you love dogs & walking - this’ll work for you. All while learning a little bit of local history! Izzy the dog was adorable and well mannered, she truly was gorgeous. Only thing I would suggest is a small clip microphone for the host while walking/ speaking about the sites as it would make it easier to hear from a distance! Enjoyed our time and liked that our ticket percentage goes to a good cause in Corfu! Thanks.
