I recommend this experience with my eyes closed. Warm welcome, very cozy kitchen and living room, excellent dishes.
I recommend it 100%. It was an exceptional experience with a very warm welcome.
Such a wonderful experience! My daughter and I were fortunate to have the fabulous hosts all to ourselves...a surprise private and memorable experience that was SO much fun, informative and DELICIOUS! Everything we made (spanakopita, stuffed tomatoes, tzatziki) and the beef/orzo dish and salad prepared by our hosts were outstanding! Wine was delicious as well! Perfect way to spend a mother-daughter evening together!
I was very disappointed as this was supposed to be a 5 hour cooking class and we hardly "cooked". The host talked the first hour & half about Greece. Then started about food. Had us go outside twice while they set-up. My husband (the men) made the stuffed tomatoes and I (the women) layered the Spanikopita and we all made the Taziki. Everything was pre-cut and hardly cooked at all. The meal was served with the main course - meat w/rice that we didn't even prepare! Then we ended early. Was supposed to get a gift bag w/local products and all we got was a cheap apron & copy of recipes which aren't even complete with specifics. Very expensive & hardly cooked. Host was nice, but we were there to learn to cook Greek dishes!
Eleni was an amazing teacher. She was so welcoming, informative and a great cook!!! She gave us suggestions so we have waste when cooking! She told us about the science behind what we were cooking as well as how to correct any mistakes we may have made. She was a joy to spend time with!
Highly recommend the experience.. Everyone had a great time.. Elena made the small group feel like family. We helped prepare and taste some Greek cuisine and wine. The atmosphere was perfect.
My wife and I had an unforgettable experience at Mykonian Spiti. From the moment we arrived at Teta’s beautiful home, we felt welcomed like family. Our cooking instructor, Eleni, was exceptional. She taught with such passion, patience, and genuine love for Greek culture and cuisine. We prepared spinach pie, stuffed tomatoes, and authentic tzatziki using the freshest ingredients. The aroma of the herbs, vegetables, and olive oil filling the kitchen made the entire experience even more special. Every detail was thoughtfully explained, and we left with a much deeper appreciation for traditional Mykonian cooking. What made this experience truly extraordinary, however, was not only the food. There were nine of us gathered around the table from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. We began as strangers, but somewhere between preparing the meal, sharing stories, laughing together, and enjoying what we had created, something beautiful happened. We left feeling like family. It was a reminder that food has an incredible way of bringing people together. Around one table, barriers disappeared, hearts opened, and genuine connections were formed. That sense of community is something my wife and I will never forget. Thank you, Teta, for opening your home, and thank you, Eleni, for sharing your knowledge, kindness, and heart with all of us. If you’re looking for more than a cooking class, if you’re looking for an authentic experience that nourishes both your body and your soul, Mykonian Spiti is a place you simply cannot miss. We would gladly do it again. ★★★★★
Fabulous food, beautiful space, amazing instructor
Everyone who pays to do cooking class should have the opportunity to cook! All participating at all points. Not some sitting and watching for an hour! I appreciate owner coming n out to speak with us and spend some time getting to know us. This was the only reason I gave 3 star.
This is an awesome experience that you must try if you like cooking and want to learn local Greek recipes. The hostess was amazing!! Everyone helping including the owner was very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learned from it. Highly recommended!
