A rewarding learning experience

I had the privilege of taking a class by Samri. I learned how to cook appetizers including roasted abergines, cooked carrots, potatoes and the best chicken tajine I have ever eaten. Followed by hot tea and cookies. I also learned to preserve lemons used in many Moroccan dishes. After class we went to a locals collective in the Medina. Samri was patient, knowledgeable, and fun to learn and cook with. I look forward to return to Fes to take more classes from Samri.

Lovely morning with Chaimae

We had a great time baking with Chaimae. It was great meeting her in the neighborhood and seeing her apartment and learning about her life. Her younger sister joined us later and it was great for my 14 yo son to converse with someone similar in age. It was a beautiful experience that made our time in Fes really fulfilling. We got to take the cookies we made to go home with us as souvenirs.

Fabulous experience!

This was a highlight of my tour/trip! Chaimae made us feel like warmly welcomed friends into her home. She was so personable and accommodating. The meal prep was fun and the dinner delicious. . She was a woman who clearly loves her craft and home and gave me a very positive respect for her culture and country.

Memories made to last a lifetime!

Chaimae provided a wonderful experience in visiting a communal bread oven and also showing us how to make 2 kinds of Moroccan bread. (Moroccan pancakes and Seminola bread) We also had the pleasure of meeting her auntie and sister during our time in her lovely home and both were such a joy to meet and get to know. Chaimae was extremely organized and had everything ready to go so we could jump right in! We took turns adding the ingredients to make the bread as well as kneading and punching the dough to make it perfect. The entire process from start to finish was fun and educational. We enjoyed the freshly baked breads served with jams, cheese and/or honey. She served mint and sage tea as an accompaniment and homemade Moroccan pastries that she made for us to enjoy! Simply divine! This bread making class and visit to the communal bread oven was one of my top experiences during my visit to Morocco. Chaimae also provided the recipes and explicit instructions on how to make the bread when we returned home and sent us pics and videos of our time making the bread with her. She also offers cooking classes which we were able to experience at the same time as our bread making class so that was double the fun and educational! I am so happy I found Chaimae and her cooking classes! I recommend her classes and experiences 100%! You will NOT be disappointed!

Fabulous guide and marvelous food

Go HUNGRY! Yassir was knowledgeable, hospitable and so generous. His English was great and his kindness greater. We wandered the maze of the medina tasting exotic morsels and ended up with a feast on the square. It was reassuring to know that no food goes to waste. Highly recommend!

An Excellent Host and Instructor

Samri was a great teacher and cultural liaison for her country. Commination with her was clear and always timely. The food we made was tasty and filling. She offers different options of cooking classes, so be sure to inquire with her about what's available. Not only does she offers cooking instruction, but she also offers other cultural experiences. Make sure to ask her about those too!

10/10 food and people!

I had a solo class with Chimae and it was one of the highlights of my trip! She was so kind and happy to share with me all about Moroccan food and culture. She was kind enough to send the recipes to me after the fact so that I can make for my family in the future. She also took me to try different spices and fragrances at a local market. Lastly, the food was delicious!!!

Authentic and heartwarming cooking experience in Fès 🇲🇦

We had a private cooking class with a lovely Moroccan lady in her home. It was a truly authentic experience and we could even see how local people live. We cooked a traditional Moroccan lunch/dinner (not the pastry class), but we were lucky to taste some sweets from the earlier group and they were absolutely delicious! The whole experience was wonderful. She welcomed us so warmly, explained everything in detail and put so much love and effort into it. After cooking, we also joined the spice tour. She took us there by taxi, showed us around and introduced us to different herbs and teas. we could smell, taste and learn about everything. She also helps you with anything you might need in Fès. She even organized a guide for us to visit the leather tanneries and much more. Overall, it was an excellent start to our stay in Fès. We would absolutely recommend doing this at the beginning of your Trip. it makes you feel more comfortable, welcomed and connected to the city. You’ll fall even more in love with Fès!
