Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden

Chef Lat and her team were amazing! We had such a fun time cooking with them, and loved getting to see the farm as well. Recommend this for anyone who is wanting to learn to cook Thai food and have some fun!

One of the highlights of our trip to Koh Samui was our cooking class at Island Organics. Chef Lat brought incredible energy to the experience. She's funny, engaging, and creates a relaxed atmosphere that makes everyone feel comfortable, regardless of their cooking experience. The class was very well organized and ran smoothly from start to finish. We learned to make several Thai dishes, including Pad Thai (they kindly prepared a chicken version for my husband due to his prawn allergy), Green Chicken Curry, Chicken Cashew Nut, and Papaya Salad. The recipes were delicious and easy to follow, and we picked up plenty of practical cooking tips and techniques that we'll actually use at home. What made the experience particularly special was the tour of the organic garden. We loved learning about the ingredients grown on-site, along with some insights into seed raising and worm farming. It gave us a deeper appreciation for the farm-to-table approach behind the class. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Koh Samui. Great food, great fun, and a genuinely authentic experience.

Amazing cooking experience. Chef Lat was extremely knowledgeable and energetic making this a fun family experience with our 14 year old and 19 year old. Great set up and wont disappoint.

Very pretty place, whether it's the kitchen or the garden. Great meeting with Chef Lat. We managed to cook delicious dishes. Don't eat too big a meal beforehand!

Three of us had a really super experience today. The cooking experience is very professional very clean and very good fun. We made Pad Thai , chicken and cashew nut and Thai green curry. Making our own coconut cream was a highlight. 100% recommended. Whether you are a keen chef or never cook it would be a great experience.

Fantastic Thai cookery class led by the very charismatic Chef Lat. My wife and I booked 2 days in advance, we were collected from our hotel exactly at the time stated. We were dropped off and met by Lat with a glass of water. There were a total of 13 people in our class which appeared to be the maximum. We learned about the fresh ingredients. We learned about the growing process and how to use them correctly. We went on a Monday so made a Pad Thai, Tom yum Goong, Penang curry and green papaya salad. Each day of the week attracts a different menu - as per the website. The day lasted 4.5-5 hrs in total. There were plenty of refreshments available although only ‘Thai air conditioning’ was available (plenty of fans and cold towels) Lat delivered an informative class which resulted in tasty food. Some of the ingredients were available to purchase afterwards. All in all a great day out that we would thoroughly recommend.
