Como Lake Private Picnic in the Villa and Drive by the Shores

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience thanks to Cristina. The program included a picnic at the start of this magnificent 4-hour tour of Lake Como. Due to the overwhelming heat, Cristina preferred to modify the program for our comfort. Instead of letting us bake in the sun, she prepared an intimate meal for us in the shade, facing the lake, with a setting worthy of a true painting. It was simply magnificent! The table she had set was of rare elegance, all in simplicity, with attention paid to every detail. A romantic, peaceful, and timeless moment that we will never forget. Cristina is an exceptional host. Passionate about Lake Como, she shares its history, anecdotes, and secrets with enthusiasm and authenticity. Her explanations are captivating and give even more charm to this already sublime region. Spontaneous, kind, and very generous, she truly goes out of her way to please her guests. She adapts to your wishes throughout the day and constantly looks out for your well-being. Beyond the tour, we had a very wonderful encounter. Cristina enhanced our stay at Lake Como and we are leaving with wonderful memories. A huge thank you, Cristina! We recommend this experience with our eyes closed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our experience with Christina Vittoria was nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, she curated our time in Italy with such thought, care, and local insight that every day felt special and effortless. She didn’t just show us the famous places — she helped us experience Italy. What truly set her apart was how she consistently went above and beyond what was planned. One of the most memorable moments of our trip was when she managed to take us to an exclusive hotel-club venue that we had absolutely no prior reservation or access to. It was a completely unexpected experience and one we will always be grateful for. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine desire to make our trip unforgettable truly stood out. We felt looked after at every step, and it was clear that she takes great pride in what she does. If you’re looking for someone who doesn’t just guide you, but elevates your entire travel experience, I cannot recommend her enough. She turned a beautiful trip into a truly memorable one.

While I’m sure if you booked during the summer this would be a great experience, it was not as described. The tour guide seems accommodating and was willing to provide transportation from the train station, she tried to get us to cancel our reservation on trip advisor and instead pay her in cash instead which would have been more costly (also advised against in TripAdvisor). We booked this tour specifically for the tours of Villa Carlotta and Villa D’Este and after trying to convince us to cancel via trip advisor and pay her instead, she then informed me that she wouldn’t even have access to those villas because they were closed for winter for public entry (even though her tour description specifically describes these two villas as the primary spots of the tours). Also, after asking us to pay her instead and I told her I received a discount on TripAdvisor and would only pay her cash if she was willing to honor that same price (with the euro to USD conversion), she acted offended like I was trying to take advantage of her and said “I’m a lady, I will not negotiate with you”, even though she was the one initiating the negotiation. Do not book her tour for the winter months as it does not meet or match the description on trip advisor and she will make make it more complicated. She will also just start calling you out of the blue to try to get you to cancel on trip advisor and literally woke me up at 3-4 in the AM calling over and over again. I’m so glad I canceled and didn’t waste my money on a tour she wouldn’t have been able to uphold. Again, I’m sure I’m the middle of the summer this is a great tour when she can actually uphold her trip advisor itinerary description and get you entrance to the villas as described. But i would always advise to avoid booking with tours who want you to cancel via TripAdvisor and pay them cash instead. Seems sketch.

This was a beautiful day! Cris picked us up in a car decorated with flowers for my mother's birthday and instantly presented her with a bottle of limoncello. We drove through Como and its gorgeous surrounding towns, saw beautiful sights with great commentary and it culminated in a beautifully organized picnic at the stunning Villa Carlotta. She was extremely attentive to some additional needs we had for minimal walking due to injury and I highly recommend this day!
