Do not take Viator from Lucerne to Lake Como unless you want just transportation. Lucerne people met up with a bus tour out of Milan in Como. We were wandering around meeting place looking for Como tour bus. Train tickets from Lucerne to Como did not arrive until we called Viator the afternoon before enquiring about status of tickets. Guide had very little to say. A disappointing experience

It is our standard procedure to send the train tickets during the early afternoon of the day before the tour, together with all the necessary instructions and a map showing how to reach the meeting point. In fact, you received the message and all the relevant documents at 2:44 PM. Let us explain why we send the tickets only the day before the tour. The train tickets for this route are non-refundable, while customers are allowed to cancel their booking until the day before departure. For this reason, tickets are issued and sent only after the free cancellation period has ended. You received the tickets both by email and via WhatsApp, as per our standard procedure. This was certainly not due to any request or reminder from Viator, but simply because this is how we handle all confirmed bookings. We understand that the tour may not have met your personal expectations, and unfortunately it is impossible to satisfy every customer's preferences.
