This tour was an absolute highlight of our time in Banff. What truly made this trip outstanding was the incredible team taking care of us. Our bus driver, Mateus, and tour guide, Eleanor, went above and beyond from start to finish to ensure the trip was a success. Their in-depth knowledge of the physical landscape, flora, and fauna was remarkable, and they shared it in a way that was engaging, authentic, and genuinely interesting rather than just reciting facts. Once we stepped onto the ice sheet, the excellence continued. We were handed off to Eoghan, an Irishman from Donegal whose expertise on the glacier was matched only by his brilliant sense of humor. Mateus, Eleanor, and Eoghan transformed a great itinerary into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!
Bri and James were fantastic guides and made the day unforgettable. We saw so much, and the walk on the glacier was a bucket list experience.
This tour was fantastic! It was a thrill to ride on the Columbia Explorer and to actually step foot on a glacier. It was very cold and windy on the glacier but still exciting.
A great trip and a convenient way to travel from Jasper to Banff and enjoy sights on the way. Driver and host were excellent - very informative and entertaining, and happy to stop for wildlife sightings. Picked up from our hotel in Jasper and dropped at our hotel in Banff, so very easy. We stopped at some lovely places and saw some great sights including the Athabasca waterfall and the Skywalk. Unfortunately we were unable to do the Glacier walk part of the trip due to Parks Canada closing outdoor activities in the area due to wildfire smoke, which was very unfortunate, but Brewster gave a refund for that part of the trip which we didn't expect. A buffet lunch was included and we also had a coffee/cookie stop. It was a long day of travelling, but didn't feel arduous because we saw such great scenery and sights.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your journey from Jasper to Banff and that our team helped make the day comfortable, informative, and memorable. We're pleased you enjoyed the stops, wildlife sightings, lunch, and scenic highlights along the way. We appreciate your understanding regarding the closure and are happy we could assist. We hope to welcome you back for another Brewster adventure soon!
This is a great trip, with marvellous scenery and spectacular views. The coach was comfortable and the drive was smooth. Abby and Mary were our guide and driver. Mary just couldn’t stop talking over the PA and got pretty annoying! After lunch she said that she was going to leave us in quiet for an hour or so, but she only lasted 5 minutes! Abby was lovely but quite muddled in her commentary. Mary made a big deal over our drop off. We were booked into Mountaineer Lodge, which is not one of her usual stops and she said she was doing us a special favour in dropping us off there. She also made a thing of informing us all that Rocky Mountaineer tips are not shared with the Brewster excursions team.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that some aspects of your experience did not meet your expectations. While we're pleased you enjoyed the scenery, views, and comfort of the coach, we appreciate your comments regarding the commentary and overall service provided by our team. We will be sharing your feedback internally as we are always looking for ways to improve. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide a more enjoyable experience in the future.
Good value for money! Absolutely recommended. Give around 6-7 hrs time. The weather was absolutely amazing. The trip wasn't very crowed. The guides were awesome and very knowledgeable. I'd do it again.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you had such a great experience and found the tour to be excellent value. It's fantastic that our guides helped make your day so enjoyable. We truly appreciate your recommendation and look forward to welcoming you back for another adventure!
The large company Pursuit does not run an efficient operation. There was very little communication on pick up & drop off with their customers. This led to uncertainty and anxiety about the process of the excursion. That should never happen with paid customers. It should be a smooth and enjoyable day. The highlight of the trip was the glacier walk. All of the stops were excellent and so much easier letting them plan rather than individually trying to see the same things on your own. I know the weather could not be controlled but pouring rain made for poor quality viewing on the skywalk. Believe me, it could have been skipped due to weather and replaced with a back up plan or compensation! The buffet meal was unacceptable. By the time we were allowed to eat which was so late in the excursion day, the food was cold, and at the bottom of the trays. Can you believe you had to eat with a large spoon even salad? no forks were washed so not available for late afternoon guests! The representative from Pursuit did nothing but count to make sure we made it back to the bus, smile and use and talk on her own phone. I really wanted this day to go better especially for price. If there is another company offering, try them!
Colin and Macey made the whole experience so much fun and so enjoyable. The information parted was amazing. Even though the glacier walk was cancelled, We did stop at many other destinations not planned. Highly recommend.
Hi Andrea, Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad Colin and Macey made your day fun and memorable. While we're sorry the glacier walk was cancelled, it's great to hear the extra stops helped make up for it. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to see you again soon!
All went well with friendly staff for all parts of the trip. We had a problem in that we were not told ahead of time that our pick up would be on a bus headed to Banff. Following the time on the glacier, we had to catch a different bus back to the Jasper are where we were staying. That bus left without us before our glacier bus returned. No fault of ours. We had to wait about 25 minutes for the bus to turn around and come back for us. Should not have happened. Would like to have known ahead of time the details.
This was booked as a transfer from Jasper to Banff through our travel agent. What an amazing day. Picked up by coach with Mathew the driver and Harry the guide. Throughout the day Mathew & Harry gave so much insight to the places we passed along the Icefield Parkway and even managed to grant me my wish when we saw a black bear just walking across the road. We stopped off on route to the Icefields, seeing the beautiful Peyto Lake, Athabasca falls and slowing down when wildlife was spotted. The Columbia icefield tour was awesome, walking on a glacier followed by lunch which was ok! It was part of the package and was buffet style, but felt as though the staff were not expecting visitors that day as they had run out of lots of choices of the food, we also had to ask for cutlery. We were then dropped at the Skywalk which was very interesting and some good views. The rest of the journey to Banff was relaxing, looking out for the wildlife. The coach was clean and comfortable with an onboard toilet, again very clean. At one of the stops Harry made everyone a hot drink and offered gorgeous cookies. We were dropped at our hotel in Banff 10 hours after being picked up, but honestly one of the best days of the holiday.
Hi Audrey-Frank, Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear your transfer turned into one of the highlights of your holiday. We'll be sure to share your kind words with Mathew and Harry. We also appreciate your feedback about the lunch experience and will pass it along to the appropriate team. We hope to welcome you on another adventure soon!
