Great experience on the skywalk with breathtaking views! Learned a lot too along the walk! Pretty nerve wracking if heights scare you but would 100% recommend!

A Memorable Columbia Icefield Adventure & Glacier Skywalk Experience

Our trip to the Columbia Icefield Adventure and Glacier Skywalk was truly a memorable experience. We booked it through the Pursuit Pass at 3:30 pm. From the very beginning, everything was extremely well organised. The team knew exactly what they were doing, and the whole experience was smooth and enjoyable. A special mention to our driver, Nick, who was absolutely brilliant at his job. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared so much interesting information throughout the journey. His guidance made the trip even more enjoyable. When we finally arrived at the Icefield, safety was clearly a top priority. We were advised to be careful while walking on the glacier, and the staff were very professional. We had around 25 minutes on the glacier itself, which went by quickly as we were busy taking pictures and enjoying the incredible surroundings. The Glacier Skywalk was a spectacular addition to the tour, offering breathtaking views over the Sunwapta valley and a unique experience. We also spent time at the Discovery Centre, which was a great facility with informative displays, Starbucks, clean washrooms, and a well-equipped dining area. The restaurant and café had a good selection of food, including burgers, pizzas, and poutine, making it a convenient stop. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and one that our family will remember for a long time. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Canadian Rockies!

I wish we didn’t bother.

Bad value for money, Views you can see from along the road. The bridge itself is an engineering work of art & the glass bottom is why I gave it two starts but the overall experience is naff. Money & more importantly time that could be better spent elsewhere. You have to get on a bus to & from which takes as just as long as you’re on the bridge for & silly warm (no air con)

Stay away

Stay away from this tourist trap. The transfer to the icefield is an absolute crap show. Busy, crowded, unorganized. Pack your patience.

We had Beautiful clear...

We had Beautiful clear views. I loved being able to look down through the glass. Very cool as long as you are not scared of heights. Oterwise dont look down. Even saw some mountain goats when I looked down below me. And a cute baby one.

!!Overcrowded! not regulated for the flow of people, most ignorant people pushing and shoving their way onto the skywalk

Ridiculous amount of people on the skywalk. I have to consider myself a foreigner from the US, but I know how to self regulate my behavior in public. Other nations whether from Canada or Asia have no such mechanism. Pushing, shoving, no respect for others wanting to take pictures. Butting in line. There is no regulating the number of people on the bridge, like there is at the Grand Canyon. Kids jumping around, posers taking up too much space. I will tell anyone interested to do this to enter at your own discretion

Poor service and confusing directions

We arrived at the gate at 1:18pm after getting off the glacier bus and running to the check in gate. We were told we were too late and couldn’t board the bus to the skywalk. We were instructed to go back to the ticket booth and reserve another time. The line was 50+ people long. Others in line sad we should have been told to take a bus from the glacier directly to the SKUs. None of this was told to us. We were not able to get replacement reservations as the only times available were after our tour left the area. I am requesting a full refund and will be pursuing this through my bank as well.
