Smart timed itinerary: This semi-private tour is planned around the scheduled Colosseum Arena entry. Morning tours usually begin in the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill before entering the Colosseum. Afternoon tours usually begin with the Colosseum Arena entry, followed by the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.

Enter through the Gladiator’s Gate and step onto the Arena Floor for the classic “gladiator’s-eye” view. From here we look down into the hypogeum from above while your guide explains how the machinery and staging worked behind the scenes. We then continue through the Colosseum’s main interior levels, focusing on its architecture, engineering, and the realities of the spectacles.
Entry is at a reserved time slot; the itinerary is designed to reach the Colosseum on time.

Our Colosseum tour was...
Our Colosseum tour was absolutely amazing! Our guide, Paolo, was exceptional. His depth of knowledge was incredible, and you could tell how passionate he is about Roman history. His storytelling techniques were phenomenal—he brought the history to life in a way that was interesting, easy to follow, and completely engaging. I was captivated for the entire tour, which says a lot for a three-hour history tour! Paolo truly made our visit to the Colosseum unforgettable. Highly recommend!

A great way to see Roman...

Outstanding experience
Gerard was an exceptional tour guide for our visit to the Colosseum. He was incredibly knowledgeable, thoroughly prepared, and shared so many thoughtful insights that brought the history to life. Super-knowledgeable guide connected the dots!!
Marle was an amazingly intelligent guide that connected the dots to the origins of Rome to the big enchilada - the Colosseum! Our walk around Paletine Hill and the Forum we so amazing and the Colosseum is spectacular. It was SOOOO hot so bring water bottle and prepare for steep steps!! Great last tour for our family in Rome!

Amazing Colloseum!!
Gerard was a wonderful tour guide. The depth of history he had of the place was astounding!! He was very patient and passionately explained the history and answered all our questions. He was punctual at the meeting spot and I really enjoyed the small group tour and the conversations!! Would definitely recommend!!!
