It says Roman Forum and Palantine Hill will be guided tour and after booking, they said its not guided and just audio tour. So be aware from this tour company
The colloseum was amazing and we also visited the Roman Forum beforehand It was a beautiful walk around and the gardens and views were amazing. There were lots of signs with descriptions in both Italian and English - this was useful as we weren't told until the day before that we would need our own headphones for the audio guide and then were not informed what type to bring. You need Bluetooth or anything that plugs into your phone as you download the guide... Also slightly problematic - although it worked out in the end, was the fact that we had booked to go to the Colloseum at 9.30am. We did this deliberately to avoid the heat. It took us until 9.45am to find the man standing around handing out our tickets - he was in front of a church down the street from the metro and the colloseum. Right next to the forum in fact. So I don't know if they never had 9.30 entry tickets or they had given all of those away but when we got there he gave us tickets to get into the colloseum at 11.30am! As I say it worked out well because we walked round the forum and it was worth visiting. But definitely something to keep in mind if your day is time sensitive or you go in the heat as we did. There was shade at the colloseum in the outside but as soon as you walked out onto the terraces to see the actual arena, it was very sunny. The colloseum itself was remarkable. I'm very pleased I got to see this. I would have liked longer in the gardens but my feet were happy to move on as there was still a fair but of walking to do!
Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback! We’re delighted that you enjoyed the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and beautiful views. We’re also sorry for the confusion regarding the meeting point, entry time, and audio guide instructions. We truly appreciate you pointing this out, as it helps us improve the experience and communication for future guests. We’re very happy everything worked out in the end and that you had a memorable visit to one of Rome’s most remarkable sites!
Barbara was our guide. She was extremely informative and adapted the tour to meet our needs as we were a small group. I would recommended this tour to my friends.
Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re delighted to hear that Barbara made the experience informative and personalized for your group. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again!
The sites the amazing. Absolutely stunning. The guide about 30 minutes late and their added information added some value but lacked depth of conversation and inclusion. She didn’t allow for any stops for water on a hot day.
Thank you for your feedback. I’m delighted to hear you found the sites absolutely stunning. I’m very sorry, however, that the guide’s late arrival and the lack of water stops affected your experience, and that the conversation didn’t feel as engaging or inclusive as it should have. We truly appreciate your honesty and will share your comments with the team to help us improve.
This tour was so disappointing. Our guide didn’t have the knowledge or English language skills to describe the areas we were seeing and share their significance. It was a random fact throwing walk with no connectivity from ruin to ruin or through any historical context. Different centuries, rulers etc just randomly shared without explaining the historical significance. Just was in Greece a week ago and the tour was so well done. This was disappointing. To make matter worse there was no guide with the arena. We were simply told go over there to the white tent and try and go upstairs before they close? Tour didn’t mention only half a guide. Our guides names was Marina and I just don’t think she was right for this
Sylvia was amazing our tour guide was very well informed. She was great and very welcoming to questions.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re so happy to hear that Sylvia made your experience enjoyable and was able to answer all your questions. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with her!
Marina was our tour guide. She did her best in English but it was hard to understand her. She also didn’t give us a restroom break and when we asked to go when we saw one, 2.5 hours into the tour, she said we had to hurry to colosseum by 5:30 but then stopped 50 feet from restroom and stood there and talked for 20 minutes. She was very good about telling everyone to get water at every fountain as it was unbearably hot.
We had a really good experience on this tour. Our guide was excellent, spoke very good English, and covered interesting and relevant topics without belaboring the points. The tour was informative, engaging, and the length was perfect. We were disappointed that the underground portion of the tour was cancelled, as we had been looking forward to seeing it. That said, the rest of the experience was very well done and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. I would definitely recommend it.
Thank you for your detailed feedback! We’re delighted you enjoyed the tour and appreciated our guide’s knowledge and engaging approach. We’re sorry the underground portion was cancelled and understand your disappointment. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again!
They literally scammed me, I was under the impression that it was a GUIDED tour but it was a self guided tour, and the guy I approached wasn’t very friendly about that news either, like it was my fault you guys falsely advertised? Other than that I did NOT use the audio guide cause it required me to download this weird link. The forum is lovely and so is the Colosseum, I recommend going to an ACTUAL guided tour with a seperate company.
