Your local guide will share stories behind the medieval shop signs and architectural details that have shaped the city for generations. Along the way, admire iconic landmarks such as Maison Pfister, a Renaissance home decorated with murals and turrets, and the whimsical Maison des Têtes, famous for its façade featuring 106 sculpted faces. You’ll also pass the Koïfhus (Old Customs House), once the bustling center of Colmar’s wine and textile trade.

Following an SNCF incident departing from Turckheim, we were able to take the guided tour in the afternoon instead of the morning and enjoy the canal tour in the morning. The guides are excellent. Thank you Maverick for sharing these historical events and details. Good time. The tour on the canals is overpriced. The guides are great, the tour is too short.
I had a bad experience on this tour. Firstly the guide sent a WhatsApp message with wrong starting address. When we reached the location, it was a parking lot of another place. We had to call him and walk for a while to find him. During the tour he barely spoke correct English and we struggled with understanding him. There were a total of 5/6 random buildings of which he spoke about the history. There was another couple who were French so he spoke mostly during the one and a half hour in French to them. Secondly the tour is deceptive in how it is advertised. It says 2 hours. So we booked the tickets for 10:00 am and planned a departure from colmar at 1pm. We made the bookings 5 days in advance. When the walking tour finished around 11:30 am, the guide shared with us a QR code for the boat ride and asked us to go to the boat ride counter and disappeared himself. When we reached the counter, the guy asked us if we speak English and when we said yes, he said that our turn on the boat ride will come at 1:30pm. We told him that we are leaving collar by 1pm so we can’t wait till 1:30 pm and that the tour is advertised as 2 hours so we took tickets for 10:00 am. He said that we should have bought the tickets from his company and not on Internet as our tickets had got booked with them only yesterday (even though we had purchased them 5 days ago). He said that the next boat is at 11:40 but we are not on it and if we want refund, he will return only €10 even though the tour is sold for €50 per person on this website. Overall a total waste of time, money and energy. Really bad experience.
This was a good tour if you have limited time and want to see and hear about Colmar. Maverick the guide gave us interesting information and insights into the history of Colmar.
Pleasant visit, lots of explanations given by the guide (very friendly) A small downside regarding the organization of the boat tour. Walking tour in the morning at 10 a.m., but boat tour scheduled for 3:30 p.m. without having informed us. Impossible to schedule the boat tour earlier because navigation is prohibited starting at 12 p.m.... it would be good to specify that when booking!
Vaguely useful walk around Colmar. Limited historical knowledge of the town. Boat trip is very short and did not Co-ordinate with the end of the walk around Colmar. We had to go back an hour later.
We were supposed to meet the guide outside the tourist office. Instead, he stood in the middle of the square with no particular characteristics. Sheer luck we guessed it was the right person. The guided tour was quite OK and he knew his thing. But when it was time for the boat trip, he just dumped us at the dock. We stood in line to then be told that we were booked in another hour, which was wasted. The final rating is therefore negative.
Unfortunately, the boat trip was canceled, and despite assurances, we were not refunded the amount for the boat. It was also difficult that the tour was bilingual and therefore took too long at the individual points.
Loved our tour guide Maverick. He had tremendous passion for the history of Colmar. It is a beautiful place.
There were 2 meeting places listed on the voucher. We were at the first meeting spot listed and no one was there. We called the emergency number and no one answered. We left a message and no one reached out. We never found the guide according to their meeting spot description and GPS link.
I never other - the local Operator changed meeting point and I was unable to pick up his message. What a shame!
