Join a local farmer, historian and walking enthusiast on this spectacular guided walk along the Cliffs of Moher sea cliffs, as he shares his enthusiasm and passion for the area, local history, folklore and the preservation of a rural lifestyle. Walk to the highest point of the Cliffs of Moher standing 214m (702 feet) above sea level, where views of the Dingle Peninsula and Loop Head in the South, the Aran Islands to the West with the Twelve Pins and mountains of Connemara to the North can be seen on a clear day. From O’ Brien’s Tower witness the amazing vistas of lush green grass, rocky cliffs and varying shades of sea and sky and hear the waves of the mighty Atlantic ocean crashing below. The walk takes approximately 3.5 hours along a gravel path and finishes at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre where a taxi ride back after the walk to Doolin village is included The trail is an easy walk, it requires a basic level of fitness and a good head for heights and is 8km long.

The walk was fantastic, views of the cliffs which you don’t see if you go to the normal tourist spot. Nice anecdotes and stories from the guide. One thing: you can book and pay directly to the guide because viator almost charges double
We spent 3.5 hours with Pat, a local farmer, learning all about the Cliffs of Moher. He not only shared pertinent factual information but also his personal stories of growing up on the cliffs. He was informative, pleasant and funny. All four of us in the group highly recommend this wonderful experience!
The most incredible way to visit the Cliffs. I would not have been able to appreciate the beauty, history, and scale had I just gone to the visitors center.
Our guides doe today were Patrick and Alex. If could give 10 stars I would, this is a must do activity. Patrick is a local farmer, who has a lot of passion for the area and provides lots of information along the journey.
The walking tour was the best tour I participated in all my travels, not just Ireland. It was informative, engaging, we learned personal family history, and walked at a pace that was comfortable for all of us. I will tell everyone to book this tour!!!
I have seen the Cliffs of Moher twice before, and this experience with Pat was by far the best. He walks on his own land - he grew up with the cliffs and tells stories about them with a lot of passion and wit. And the landscape is spectacular anyway. I will definitely book again the next time I come to Ireland.
What an amazing hike with Pat the farmer. We did the 10K steps in 3.5 hours with an 11 year old and 13 year old. Enjoyable throughout and not rushed. Nothing really scary unless you’re truly afraid of heights. Great photos in the farm restricted areas. Highly recommend. If going from Galway, take Bus Eirrean. The 350 bus. Be warned that on the way back, it might be full the first time around. Most direct route there. Also, did the hike in running shoes but it was a really nice unusually Irish sunny day with no rain and light wind.
Book this tour. Don’t hesitate. Just do it! Pat took us on a grand adventure. Forever grateful to have found this tour and snagged a spot for my family before our Ireland trip. We were all left speechless and in awe of the magnificent Cliffs of Moher, but even more so with Pat and his vast knowledge and history, as well as his fabulous sense of humor. Core memories were made. So grateful to Pat and his team that makes this tour possible.
Nice walk. Not heavy and doable. Sometimes a bit difficult for people with a fear of heights.
Pat and Vincent were wonderful. My husband, 15-year-old, and myself loved the tour. Our guides are locals and took us off the beaten path. It was not the crowded visitors center and the views were breathtaking. We would book this many times over!
