Guests will have a mesmerising cliff walk to explore with the guide, take photos and enjoy free time. The cliff walk will take guests along the trail to the Doolin overview. There is approx. 1 ½ Miles of walking. If guests do not want to do the full Cliff Walk, they can spend more time at the O’Brien Tower or Visitors Centre where there is a Café and shopping in the gift shop. As you explore, you’ll encounter the diverse wildlife that calls the cliffs home, from nesting seabirds to rare coastal flora. Your guide will also share insights into the Wild Atlantic Way, one of the most scenic coastal routes in the world, highlighting the beauty of Ireland’s rugged western coast.

O'Brien's Tower

The tower was built on the cliffs in 1835 by the local landlord and MP Sir Cornelius O’Brien as an observation point for the English tourists who frequented the area at the time.
It is said to have initially served as a teahouse or folly; another version tells of Cornelius building the tower in order to impress the women he was courting!
Whatever the truth, from this vantage point on a clear day you can see the Aran Islands and the Twelve Bens of Connemara across Galway Bay.

Martin is such a genuine person and guide!
Martin our guide was born and has lived in this area along with his ancestors. His family has land directly overlooking the Cliffs and farms the land. Truly a remarkable, genuinely kind person who shares things about the area that only local residents know. We were the only 5 people on the tour so it felt truly personal. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Martin and this tour!
